Heading over to St Andrews this weekend... I think. Although I'm not decided.. I may come south yet, I dunno cos I got no plans really, cept I'm working friday night which might restrict saturday travel. "If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough."

Nuffin better than Tea with breakfast then a couple more before lunch, one with lunch then a couple in the afternoon, one with 'stickies' of course at about 4pm and then more tea at night.

I only graduated AFF recently too so my advice is frm my own personal experience rather than being able to draw on what I have seen others do. The tunnel is cheap in comparison with an AFF lvl, however, you will probably still need to get someone to coach you in the tunnel so the price will start to go up. I'd agree the best way is get your AFF cracked as quick as possible as continuity is the key and only if you have problems go to the tunnel for extra help. I went straight through AFF but on my FS1 was having problems getting my legs to do what i wanted in turns so I paid for 10 mins in the tunnel and whilst it didnt sort it entirely it did help me on my way. I've always looked upon life in with the premise that it doesnt matter what you are doing or where if it si your time to go then its your time and there isnt a great deal anyone can do about it. Some of those fortunate amongst us will be blessed and be allowed to go doing what they love whether it be on the freefall or during the landing. Those of us who arent so lucky may die in our beds of old age or be knocked down bya bus crossing the street. Either way I would much prefer to be one of the blessed and know that I had lived it to the full and with no regrets.

Dunno if it helps buddy but were all thinking about everyone who's been effected this weekend. And whilst is for different reasons my sleep pattern has been screwed for the last 8 weeks at least and Im also having to look for a another place cos now the ex has moved out I cant afford the one im in. So on that score I know how you feel and it isnt nice. But the sleep thing and home front will get better for you, its cliched but it just takes time for the natural rythms to return. No one can take away the loss you feel except know that we are all here if you need to talk.

Thought I had posted this on here but I checked back in the thread and cant find it so heres my gambit. I flew continental coming back form the US 2 weeks ago. I had a CYPRES in its box and not in a rig cos im still waiting for that bit and the people never batted an eye lid at it even when it went through xray. What I do have an issue with is people going through my personal checked bags at the airport without my being there to witness it. I feel it is an infirngement of my personal liberites and totally out of order. If somehting went missing I guaruntee you would have no come back at all. Thats just how I feel I do ,however, appreciate the necessaty for the checks just not happy about the methodology "If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough."

Massive congrats. I remember the 'oh shit' im next feeling when I got out of the plane on my first dive all to clearly (well i should really it was only 5 weeks ago). I agree that death is the only thing you can be certain of (well apart from nurses). But in all seriousness whilst it is particulalry distressing when we lose someone I just try to keep the thought in mind that they have gone doing something they loved enormously and MUST therefore be happy where ever they are. My new rig should be here in a couple of weeks just in time for me to start my new work cycle . The upside tho is that my first week is on nites so im just gonna pack and repack it constantly so that when i go jump it the first time its easier to cram the ZP in!! It hasnt been a good week for the sport really. Never had the chance to get to know Holly but thoughts are with her family and friends. I only finished AFF about 4 weeks ago and I found the easiest way isto just relax and chill. Your not jumping because your being forced to do something you dont like, your doing it through choice and becasue you want to have fun. SO just keep ur boxman position, smile, breath deep and relax!
