2600+ jumps, both rigs have a 245 Sharpchuter in them. I do a few demos each year and they don't have any bad manners that might surprise me at the wrong time. I don't worry about bad spots, if the spot is bad, don't get out of the plane. A Sharpchuter is not for everyone just like a sub-100 sq. ft. pocket rocket is not for everyone. And yes, I have jumped canopies as small as 120 sq. ft. Scared the crap out of me. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

Did you have a dealer or someone that understands the gear and the order form measure you, or did you fill in the blanks all by your self? If a dealer measured you and it doesn't fit its on the dealer. If you by-passed the dealer and measured yourself, OPPS! Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

I think what the instructor meant to say is, When you step out of an airplane at 12,500 feet you are effectively dead until you do something to change the situation. When you do step out of the airplane there are only 2 things that you must do to survive. One is to deploy a land-able canopy and two is to land that canopy safely. Anything else you may do on a jump is just fluff. Sparky THAT'S IT! PERFECT!

Ask him why you can't use the name, it is a valid term for one thing that happens during deployment of a parachute. Snatch force force related to acceleration of the deployment system related to the velocity of the load. Getting Paid for Stadium Demo Jumps

$5,500 for a 4 person demo is a reasonable price. If you do a demo for a couple hundred dollars or beer money you are telling the sponsor that is all you are worth. To do a demo right takes time and effort on the part of all involved. When you consider the about of time it took to gain the expertise to do a stadium jump, the cost of the gear on you back and your exposure to potential liability $5,500 is a damn good price.
