Wingsuits are so yesterday...

QuoteI don't know why everyone on this forum is jumping so quickly to assume that there is no way this could work... If it can be done with one person one time over the english channel with no baggage, why can't it be improved? Quote Because some of the people on this forum have a realistic idea of what is needed for Spec. Ops. Teams to go in harms way. And this neat little toy is not it. Would you like to try jumping this thing carrying this kind of load? See Attachment: My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals -
Have you seen some of the places those land in. I would think the bigger the better. It is "BASE" not swooping. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

That is the way I do it and top them off with a set of slider bumpers.

This is the most important question you need to answer first. You say "he" and I am going by your user name that you are a girl. If you are not about the same size, height and weight it’s not a good deal at any price. Another question, what is you experience level and how does this rig compare to what you have been jumping. Price should never be the first consideration when shopping gear. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

See if this helps any. I think the barrel position, inside or outside, is a moot point if you use slider bumpers. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

Jerry, They claim a glide ratio of 6:1. "moving six feet forward through the air for every one foot he fell vertically –" There is a HAHO canopy available that has a 6:1 glide ratio and I think would be easier to work with. PARIS/Hi Glide They also claim they can glide 120 miles. "The lightweight carbon fibre mono-wings will allow them to jump from high altitudes and then glide 120 miles or more before landing" With a 6:1 ratio you would have to exit around 105,000 feet to travel 120 miles. As Scott said I think this article would fall under the heading of “Press Release” by the manufacture and not hard news. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals -
There is a HAHO canopy available the has a 6:1 glide ratio and would create far less problems. http://www.paraflite.com/PARIS.htm My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

As Dave said, the Ser. # and DOM should be on the PDC. If not contact the rigger who packed it last, that is required information for him to put in his riggers log book. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

You are right, it is a big no no. § 105.17 Flight visibility and clearance from cloud requirements. No person may conduct a parachute operation, and no pilot in command of an aircraft may allow a parachute operation to be conducted from that aircraft— (a) Into or through a cloud, or My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

Like I posted earlier, I would only were the GSG9s for testing and demos. On RW jumps I would wear tennis shoes or sandals. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals -
Do darker colored canopies take more UV wear?
mjosparky replied to SlashDog's topic in Gear and Rigging
You have repaired 5500 canopies? If it took about an hour to do each repair that would mean you have spent around 230 days repairing canopies. And this can be measured in a sample as small as a 150 sq. ft. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals -
Or even cu. in. OPPS! My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

Hornet 135 = 310 cu. ft. Stiletto 120 = 322 cu. ft. It might work. Try contacting the manufacture. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

Hell, I thought you were talking about someone giving you problem either here or at home. I was going to offer to show you the way we handled it back in the day. Yes, I am aware that my computer skills are rather limited. My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

Is there an echo in here? From post #6. "Find a copy of Parachuting, The Skydivers Handbook. There is a famous picture of a 182 with a big hole from the door aft." My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals -

we already tried that unfortunatly the parasail has what you would call a small problem negotiating through town behind the truck. you know power lines and what-not getting all wrapped up in the thing, not to mention the tight turns and buildings as well as stopping all the time at lights, gets to be a bit of a problem landing and taking off all the time. guess you can see the difficulity in a road show. now what we can do, is sell tickets on this thing at the next fair to make money to buy a "real parasail" but until then we will take our young, tough bouncy ball bags swinging benieth our paracommander out on windy days. i guess you didnt pay too much attention in my first post where i said we dont go any higher than we are prepared to fall, but you must have just skimmed past that all fired up. except this summer when we are gonna base jump off it behind the boat, that should be killer...... no pun intended..... or is it.....; Do you always talk this much or just when your “tough bouncy ball bags” are dragging on the ground from being such a manly man? Let me know what hospital you end up in and I will send you a brochure on the “Water Chute” which is made by a company I used to do some work for.

Wouldn't that depend on which side of the equator you are on?
