Patches and cards. Sparky It's interesting, but not totally surprising, that Joe Svec signed your NSCSA card... I didn’t notice that. It is strange since Joe died in 1983 and I got the award in 1995. I have to ask Bill about that one. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

Did you see this... US Patent Issued on April 21, 1987 Estimated Patent Expiration Date: June 19, 2004 Does that mean I can start up a new business? It sure does. You will problably make twice what the last guy did. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

I’ll repeat the questions Krissane asked you. This is not meant as a flame or an attempt to talk down to you. It is a serious attempt to get you to think about what you are doing. Why do you want to downsize? Why do you want to fly a Stiletto? Why do you want to do those things now? At 80+ jumps, if your profile is right, you have no business going to a Stiletto 150. You are pushing it jumping a 175 Triathlon. Your reserve, which is an old design, is loaded 30 lb. over MOW and might get real interesting if the shit hits the fan. Someone suggested upsizing and you would be smart to try that. Anything you are going to learn about swooping on a 150 you can learn on a 200 and probably learn it faster. You are less likely to be in a constant struggle for survival. Like I said, not meant to flame just try to prevent the pain. Sparky P.S. Who ever sold you that gear needs a talking to. Hi Jerry, I have about 1,000 jumps on the bag I posted about upstream. I can’t ever recall the pocket opening during deployment. When first testing it one of my goals was to prevent bag whip which can lead to other problems. With the lines playing out through the “line channel” the bag remained stable until the locking stows. Then there was quick skip just before the canopy cleared the bag. I went so far as to put snaps on the pocket flap right at the edge of the channel. But I chickened out and went with straight Velcro. My point is don’t let the electronic gismos get in the way of you learning how to skydive. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

ALSo, it can happen on a non-wingsuit jump. If the pilot chute is not tossed into clean air but rather dropped into your burble, it will give the bag a chance to dance around. I noticed it when I started having too many openings that were off heading. I concentrated on giving the pilot chute a good throw and the problem went away. I am pretty sure that most line twists that are not caused by having a shoulder low are caused by: 1. the bag popping out of a tight container asymmetrically thus starting the spin. 2. Riser covers releasing at different times again starting the spin. While the curved pin is fairly easy to pull it can take up to 10 pounds of pull/lift to get the bag clear of the container. I have no Idea. I track very fast and couldn't even begin to guess my fall rate. I could show you how to go fast horizontally and the fall rate would just settle in where it does. You need to invest in more electronic number generators then you would know what your numbers are. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

I jumped actively for 30 years and raced motorcycles before that. I was also a Firefighter for almost 30 years. Everyone came back with some degree of PTSD. And we all tried to deal with it in different ways. Some worked some didn’t. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals -

There where people tracking long before they had the "numbers" to go by and without dedicated jumps. And they would blow your shorts off. Jeff Davey, Lynn Fogleman, Jerry Swovelin and Mitch Poteet to name a few. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

That is the 50 way attempts at Elsinore in 77 or 78. It was never completed. It was produced by Carl Boenish and filmed by many. It is a cut from Masters of the Sky. The pilot chute was a regular hand deploy of the day and was Bud Kruger throwing it. He was part of Capt. Hook and the Sky Pirates 10 way team. The 3 stack landing at the end was at the 78 Nationals in Richmond, IN. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

Where does it say no night tandems? you are correct, providing the passenger has a B-license. USPA has the following requirements for a night jump: J. Extraordinary skydives 1. Night, water, and demonstration jumps are to be performed only with the advice of the local USPA S&TA, Instructor Examiner, or Regional Director. [NW] The FAA has this to say about night jumps: 1. FAA regulations [FAR 105.19] require that when performing night jumps, each skydiver must display a light that is visible for at least three statute miles from the time the jumper is under an open parachute until landing. [NW] No mention of any required license by either. I ask again, where does it say not night tandems? For that matter where does it say AFF can't be done at night?
