Those things WERE really bad. I asked one time if I could trade the pizza coupon in for lasagna instead ~ they said no, the lasagna was a higher priced item. Terry is right, buying whatever reserve will fit is not the way to pick your last chance. I think it may have a typo on your part, Icarus does not make a 114 anything. In the MX model the largest canopy they list is 107. The MT, like you said lists a Crossfire 119 as perfect and it will allow for a larger reserve. But it is your call. In your other post you stated “this was a pre-planned jump with all parties being experienced skydivers and everyone knew the risks before boarding the plane.” In the absence of any real proof to the contrary I am going to go with a tandem done with a “paying customer” as you say. If this the case I see no problem with people going out of their way to call those involve “idiots” because that is what they are. Swooping and raft dives don’t involve a student or an inexperienced person. What is depicted in the picture is a group of turds using a tandem jump for their own enjoyment. The jump is supposed to be about the “paying customer” and should be done a safe as possible. Proxy flying in not skydiving, it is BASE jumping. Different sport.
