  1. I find it absurd that people who moved next to an airport have the gall to complain about the noise of airplanes. It's not as if the airport popped up overnight, it's not as if it wasn't there when they moved in. Idiots and Asshats. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  2. Nah. I'm just fuckin' with ya. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  3. I believe that if a manufacturer tells me that gear will be delivered in X weeks that it ought to be delivered in X weeks, give or take 20%. If we assume a 10 week delivery time, that gives them 12. If a 10 week delivery suddenly turns into 15 or 20, that's 50% or 100% longer than the original estimate, that is unreasonable. People have said that manufacturers might have run out of material X, or part Y. In the manufacturing business it's important to place materials orders far enough in advance that you'll never run out. My gripe isn't that Sunpath has a 26 week delivery time, people know that going in. My gripe is about that delivery time turning into 36 or 46 weeks when the estimate was 26. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  4. I don't think that's a fair statement. I think everyone recognizes that the majority of our (and your) citizens are fine, upstanding, people. It's the minority we need to worry about. Do you disagree? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  5. Well, like I said, I could have dreamt it. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  6. Yes. Good. But you can't use em w/ vectran line. Why not? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

  8. An estimate should be reasonable. Promising gear in 10 weeks and delivering in 15 or 20 is a bit unreasonable, I think. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  9. Pretty sure that it was. I thought that the settlement was in the amount of $50,000. Maybe I dreamt that though, but I'm pretty sure it's here on the site. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  10. Settled, most likely. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  11. We interrupt this program to bring you... http://www.lifelibertyetc.com/t-shirts.aspx We apologize for this interruption and return you to your regularly scheduled bickering, already in progress. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  12. Nothing. I prefer to support the Institute for Justice. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  13. It's a publicity stunt, nothing more. Sure, Rush will benefit from it, but how many similar cases did they turn away? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  14. Going off topic for this thread, but hey, it's a party! Anyhow, how much police protection do you really have? If you or your family are the victims of a violent crime what protection do you expect from the police? Most likely they'll show up after the fact, how much protection do the police really provide? Unless you want to live in a police state with a policeman on every corner, in every office, in every house. . . the answer is simply not enough. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. 15. I think when we're talking about something as important as a life, the life of myself, or my family, that it's not silly at all. What about the minority that the police can not protect? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  16. Why? If your society is polite and not prone to violence, why do the police need guns? If you believe that the police do need guns, why is it that you feel ordinary citizens do not? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  17. You don't believe it's asinine for the police force to carry guns, why not? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  18. I've been in the Mullins KA while we've had enough 0G time to allow one of his kids to float from the seat directly behind the pilot all the way up to the door (over everyone elses head, of course). Fun stuff.
  19. Doesn't market value for a home usually include the fees? Why should a seller ask less when he knows he can get more? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.

  21. I'm in the same boat you are, hopefully I'll buy within the next 90 days. If someone could explain what costs are included in "closing" costs, and the various types of financing, I'd appreciate it. Thanks, Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  22. I agree with you, there aren't enough of them; I do believe though that they're out there, just not in the numbers we need. Can you name a democratic country where government really does work? Which one? Why does it work? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  23. Does your police force carry handguns? Do you think it's asinine for them to do so? - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  24. Agreed, 100%. Unfortunately, when society fails to exercise good judgement, the government inevitably steps in. If people were more willing to step up, and act responsibly, we'd have far fewer laws than we have today. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
  25. You've received quite a few suggestions here, all of them worthwhile. Be aware though, that EVERY canopy has, at one time or another, slammed someone. It's something to consider. - Jim "Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
