  2. Now we all know what Pat's been up to during his down time...! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  3. georger... We need to get the lot of you whuffo's down to Perris sometime and get you all to do tandems out of the jet. First tandem out of our (side door) Super Otter (to get the 1st time "Pucker Factor" off the table), then the 2nd tandem out of the jet. Then you'll be able to relate a bit more to what we're communicating on the flight/wind/jump characteristics Cooper might have experienced. Having done a number of jet jumps I have to respectfully (and completely) disagree with the suggestion that there is any turbulence, rushing air, or pressure change at the back of the bus when the aft door is first opened. There -is- a sound change, however. Alot noisier! :^) Blues, ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  4. I've never heard of this either, Andrea, and I grew up going to the college pool with friends from age 8-12 in a close knit community. No adult supervision except while at the pool (college student life-guards). Seems that this would be one of the forefront issues we learned about back then. Wonder if coughing and a rattle sound when breathing also goes along with this. :^( ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  5. I can understand this if you mean deionized water, but a simple house (office) filter doesn't get it -that- pure. If you mean differently, yes please explain. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  6. I admit that I'm no coffee expert, in fact I do believe the stuff to be bad for you all around. However, I do have a cup every now and again (with cream and sugar...can't stand it black). I was waiting in my doctor's office this week (follow-up with my surgeon from a shoulder surgery last week) and they were nice enough to offer coffee for those who were waiting. I remember the taste...very much like the coffee I -used- to make when I didn't know what I was doing. A very present metallic-like taste. What causes this? Is it cheap coffee? Old coffee grounds? Poor water? A coffee maker that need CLR cleaning (from water deposits...We have hard water here)? Poor coffee making (any coffee made by this person would be bad, even with the best beans)? The surgeon is secretly putting metal in his patient's coffee? Any experts want to educate me? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  7. I'm from SoCal and normally would root for the Lakers. However, since I can't stand Kobe and his self-important attitude I'm all for the Celtics this time around. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  8. I was at a SoCal Home Depot one summer day right before Quincy and saw an RV parked there in the shade, air conditioner running, with a "Quincy or Bust" sticker on the back window. I actually went back inside and trolled the isles to see if I could pick out who the skydivers were (t-shirts, haircut, style of walking, overall presence....). No Go. Couldn't find them. Went back outside and knocked on the RV's door. No answer. Still don't know who it was. This was back in say 1998 or so. btw, what IS the profile of a skydiver in public.... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  9. PULL!!!! btw, seeing you're at Skyfest now, answer me this....Do you ever work? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  10. As stated in numerous posts before, the aircraft was not pressurized...Therefore, there would be no 'rushing out of air' from the plane when the rear door was cracked open. Also, stated before, there is no turbulence at the back of the plane with the door open. Or at least, very little that would perhaps remove a paper placard poorly affixed to the open door. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  11. My how times have changed.... I have a friend who always used to rent an SUV for his family's summer vacation and leave the little family car at home... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  12. She's certainly not going to be VP. She's not going to get a cabinet level position. She -may- still be a Senator for NY, but that's about it. One can only hope. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

    spelling bee

Actually I was watching this particular spelling bee this last week (yeah, I was doing my exercises and nothing else 'interesting' was on tv, so stayed with the channel). This young man was amazing with the words he was able to figure out. Wonder what's interesting enough to be in the background for this evening's shoulder exercises.... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  14. As much of an Obama supporter as I am, if he's fool enough to do this he completely loses my vote in November. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

  16. Another reason to love the Lang Creek Brewery!
  17. ...Then pay those extra slots yourself and they'll take the plane up just for you!
  18. Well, if it would just stop smoking...! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  19. Interesting find. I notice for my zip code that although there are 3 Arco stations in my town none of them are listed on this web site. I know 2 of them are cheaper than the one they list as "least expensive". The 3rd one is right by the freeway and almost always the most expensive in town. Guess Arco declines to participate? Or is their fuel not considered 'gasoline'? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

  21. Which begs the question- why have you been in the guy's bathroom, Lori? I -know- you've been to the Perris Bombshelter, Andrea. You walk to the woman's bathroom and a guy opens up their bathroom door on the way out. Straight shot look into their stadium. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  22. Eeew! I've seen the guys bathroom! Hopefully it was the woman's at least! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  23. You named your kid 'bed'? (kind of reminds me of Rachel's answer...) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  24. How many people name their kids after where they were made? Hee hee hee....(guess this commercial got banned!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuaIJGJNbzo&NR=1 ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  25. Okay, I was actually searching for a different commercial, but this one was pretty funny too.... Slow down, guys! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7C6Chea9Xnw Took a bit to load, but wait....it's too good to pass up! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
