  1. The question is, why? When the plane was flying loads, there didn’t seem to be enough paying customers to keep the plane going. At the same time, the owners won’t make it affordable enough to jump on a regular basis. Either jumpers need to spend more money, or the owners need to get rid of it, since it doesn’t appear that the price of tickets will be dropping. What's it to you? It's their plane, their property, their toys. Why do you care? How'd you like it if I came to -your- house and started complaining that it wasn't good enough and that you ought to change things just for me? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  2. That's better than most new posters these days.
  3. Recommendation is to first read the Top Thread That Starts This Forum. Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  4. For me one less thing to worry about when on the ground. I know my camera is firing and happy. If something happened in freefall and the camera isn't then I know I have to immediately spent some time correcting it before the tandem/AFF gets down. Besides, my test shot is of the Perris logo down the runway. Something that I want my students to have anyway. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  5. Let's Bold that word. It needs to be tangible proof. Something that you can put your hands on and puts her husband in the plane. Undeniably. Not hear-say. If a criminal is convicted of a crime (for let's not forget that's what this is, a crime) there needs to be proof that removes all doubt. Otherwise we're left with just 'what-ifs' again. And you can't convict on that. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  6. Dunno what ya lost, but I'll keep an eye out for it! I keep wondering if anyone ever found it out there in the plowed up fields of Perris. Imagine someone seeing it staring up at them from the ground. Think they'd freak out? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  7. I feel your pain. Not wanting to one-up you but I can identify with losing something 'ocular' in freefall about 10 years back. At that time its replacement cost was $1,000. Today it would cost me $3,000. Also an 'oops' from forgetting to put the goggles down... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  8. It's things like this occurrence that shut the place down. People got SO PISSED that the hospital was force to close their doors, but sad to say this death is only a fraction of what was happening there. And yes, this is the case that happened 2 years ago. The hospital fought to keep the footage off the airwaves but as you can see they eventually lost. Someone leaked it. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  9. Yeah, that sentence stood out to me as well. If the fragments were so adherent that they didn't reveal themselves to handling before... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  10. Ever hear of a 'latent reagent'? I'm sure Ckret has. Perhaps the bills had this impregnated in them. http://www.freepatentsonline.com/4226194.html Makes sense with the purple staining. The cow's ammonia caused the reaction which produced the purple staining to appear. "However, the latent color reagent remains intimately adhered to the stolen goods and clothing and can later be chemically developed to quickly produce a prominent color reaction on the surface of the stolen article. A developing solution containing as an active ingredient an organic primary or secondary amine, an amino acid, an ammonium salt or ammonia. Until the developing solution is applied, the latent color reagent is not noticeable, nor can it be washed or dusted off. Ninhydrin, for example, adheres particularly well to clothing and paper goods, such as money, and is merely spread more effectively when dusted or brushed. Washing with a water solution does not remove the ninhydrin and, instead, slowly activates the ninhydrin to produce a colored complex which stains the contacted article upon drying. After application of the developing solution, the resulting colored ninhydrin complex forms an indelible stain on clothing and paper goods which cannot be removed. 11. Apologies if this article has already been linked in this thread, but I found this news new to me: Seems that they've found more serial numbers on the bills that were stuck together. They pieced together the fragments that they found and were able to identify almost 3 dozen more bills. Don't know the date of the 'discovery' as the article is not dated. http://www.pcgscurrency.com/dbcooperserials.html ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  12. Just saw the movie last night and had a good laugh at Max's antics. Pretty true to the tv show and thoroughly entertaining. During the skydiving takes I was more intrigued with Norman's cinematography than anything. Guess it takes being a photographer to do that instead of getting engrossed in the silliness of the scene.
  13. Thanks for the laugh! That was hilarious! Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  14. And just like the news, they change the story and probably still have it incorrect. The link you posted states he shot himself. This one says his friend shot him. http://www.fox6.com/news/local/story.aspx?content_id=8fa90469-55e0-4bfe-adf5-1eacc28de264&rss=tick Either way I hope he's okay and has learned a lesson. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  15. Cool stand-up landing! She didn't seem too overwhelmed either. I'm thinking this isn't the wildest thing in her life she's ever done... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  16. Suggestion here: Why not combined the boogie with doing something just with her? One day of jumping (with unlimited bar funds for her) and another day at Disneyland...or Sea World...or Santa Monica Pier (or any other beach). You get your fun, and she gets hers... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

    WALL-E

Perhaps. But that'd be no fun! ;^) Deep reflection? Hmmmm.... ;^) Good point, though. But that's what we do here! We're not satisfied until we pick something to death....Oh, wait...that's Speaker's Corner. ;^) Now, let's debate the little cute short at the start of the entertainment... ;^) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

So...tell me this...If the human population was so unable to stand unassisted (osteoporosis enmass, too) and were so engrossed in their video communication screens...HOW the heck did they procreate the kids? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

    Smart car

Yeah, but the pizza is still hot when it arrives. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oPQIizRp9ck Yves. That one looks (and sounds) like 2 lawn mowers tooling around each other. Made me shake my head. However, this one just made me burst out laughing... Monster Smart ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
