Why do some jumpers think its okay I have to be smiling in the jump plane?
ltdiver replied to NickDG's topic in The Bonfire
That's what I was thinking as well. I miss Larry. I miss Vinny, too. Why'd he have to go and move away... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
Didn't know the answer myself, so did a little google education. A couple of web sites recommend distilled water. That made me cringe, but THIS ONE advises steam. I like the steam idea. Give it a try, then let us know how it works for you. :^) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Just us cameraflyers looking out for a brother. Other jumpers may try to kill you in the air, let's not do it to ourselves too. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

This swimmer was mentioned by the NBC commentators during the Opening Ceremonies tonight in Beijing. Seems this competitor learned how to swim just 6 weeks prior to the Olympics and was given massive applause as he completed his event. Sure he was last, he was slow, but he had heart and completed the race. He did more than most people do in their lifetime. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

History's cool and all, but what's the thinking of the guy who tattooed it on his back!! Don't think that's removable ink there, sir. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Why? Too much rain and cloud cover there? Okay, seriously...why don't you think it can be topped by London? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

See my edited post above. (found I needed to clarify a bit). ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Not only that, but look at the toggle. Seems like it needs to be secured a bit more as well. edit: My rig with 'floppy toggles' are secured by velcro, and my rig with the velcro-less toggles are stiffened. They don't fly out like that on deployment. At first I didn't like the stiffness of them, now looking at that frame I'm sure glad PD designed them that way if they're not velcro'd down. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Not wanting to be a wet blanket or anything, but has the upload to youtube made the video that crappy (poor quality) or is the clarity of the camera's video that poor? Auto-focus mode aside. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Surprised nobody has commented on this particular frame of the video. Might want to start tucking this in as well... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

[cough...]"Industrial haze..."[/cough] ltdiver I've always hated the "industrial haze" lie. Ya punch a cloud or ya don't. Lying about it has always seemed silly. It's an industry-wide joke. "Industrial Haze". Nobody believes it wasn't a cloud (or two). Thus the and in my post. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

In the past 8 years? Actually none. However let's not talk about the years -before- that! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Nope. I work in rehab and my patients don't let me get bored. If I try they take advantage of it! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Okay, so it's not for you. I'd bet that 1) any other computer wouldn't fit in your pocket and 2) the clarity of photos on a digital camera's screen wouldn't be that impressive to a client. Plus, if you use it for business it's a tax write-off. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

I presume you're asking about 4-way FS? If so I'm in the USA corner!

If that's all you want the gadget to do, then yes buy a plain ol' cell phone. However, I've seen the things an iPhone can do and it's definitely worth it. If you want a portable mini-computer that is.

Ya mean something like this (see attachment)? It's been happening here for the past few days. Thought I'd ignore it and see if it went away. Nope. Searched and found your thread. It is fixed for your browser yet? Mines still acting up. Safari 3.1.2. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Located my copy of that 1988 Nat's. Correction and addition of the cameraflyer's names that flew that competition. Thomas Adanski Roland Barksdale Bob Buerher Jeff Cook Marty Cooper Wayne Flemmington Monty Groutage Bruce Hofer J.J. Johnson Norman Kent (also the producer of this VHS) Todd Lorenzo Kevin S. Peyton Roger Pickens Richard T. Powell Tom Sanders Steve Scott Van Widerman Gus Wing (BSBD) It'd be fantastic to hear stories from that USPA Nat's and how it went down. What was it like to fly camera for the first air-to-air U.S. Nationals? The exits were wicked... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

I have a Norman Kent production video from Nationals 1988 here. I believe it's the first air-to-air video for our USPA Nationals competition. 4-way jumps alternated out of a C-182 and an Otter. Some 8-way jumps were out of the DC-3 with the cameraflyer following the formation out the door. Amazing stuff! Some competition cameraflyers listed that may catch your eye: Norman Kent Michael McGowan Bill Beaver ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Don't be too sure of that...my g/f had one on the top of her foot; hurt like hell. They take that needle right across the bones that lay at the top of your foot. I've also heard that down the spine can hurt like a bitch. SA The closer you are to the bone the more it'll hurt. I got one on my right ankle and it hurt like hell! The armpit, though not as close to bone is very close to alot of major nerves and arteries. I'm thinking that it ranks right up there with close bone contact. Maybe all tattos should just be on the butt. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
