  1. Our minds think alike. Opening one from my stash right now. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  2. I was stunned when I heard about Harry going in today. He's the man who was so safety conscience that he'd land out in the dirt to avoid being in a tangle of canopies landing all at once on the grass!
  3. I was named after my family's Pastor, who was also my "god father." And all this time I thought you were named after a character from the movie Total Recall. The things you find out on the internet. Sorry, wrong spelling. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  4. Depends. At Perris they get out first, on their own pass, WAY west of the normal jump run. Then we get to be a bit more comfy as we 180 around for our own jump run (east of the CReW dogs by mucho distance). ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  5. Works here (USA) on a Mac. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  6. Not to add any more fuel to this fire, but since the focus here is on drownings it's best if you were also aware of incidents of 'dry drowning' as well. More information to the wise. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3231351;search_string=drowning%20after%20swimming;#3231351 This is a serious subject. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  7. Just watch the number of felines you have. Might I remind everyone about my 'crazy cat lady' next door who has over 20 cats now! (2 just had kittens last month = 8 more to the brood) She -used- to keep them indoors....but since she remodeled her house they're now all outdoor cats. 20+ piles of cat crap on my lawn every week is a tad trying on the 'good-neighbor' rule. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  8. Thanks for the reminder of healthy lifestyling. :^) I've been dragging for the past week and didn't really have an answer as to why (other than not getting my normal 'sleep-in' day over the weekend). Other than some social stresses that have popped up, I can point to my diet taking a hit this week as well. I normally pay close attention to my dietary intake and have always considered myself quite healthy ( 146# with 15-20% BF ). Looking over my brunch here as I read your post: oven baked potato patties, veggie sausages, and oops---coffee, I know where I need to bone up. Thanks for the nudge in the right direction. Your medical tirade did the trick. :^) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  9. Here's a great start from the 'search' feature for you: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=search_results&search_forum=forum_7&search_type=AND&search_string=Samsung+SC-HMX20C ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  10. IBC is the best! I was married to a 'root beer snob' way back when. He loved IBC. Thought it was the best. Then I discovered Henry's and found that IBC was really way too syrupy and sweet. Both have gone by the wayside these days. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  11. Obviously not THIS KIND. But my favorite is Henry Weinhard's. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

  14. Haven't smiled all day today, but that one did the trick. Thanks for sharing!
  15. His plane may have been located at 10,000' today. http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/10/02/steve.fossett.search/index.html ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

  17. Actually I showed this exact picture to Jim Wallace here in CA and he identified himself to me in that picture. btw, Jim Wallace just celebrated his 20,000th skydive this weekend! HIM! HIM! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  18. Good grief. Just go to the bottom of the web site page here and type in any word you're looking for in the 'search box'. Default will be for -this- forum. If you're looking for a particular person's post, go to the -top- of the page and click on 'search' and -that- page will allow you to refine what you're looking for. Honestly Jo, you play the 'blonde card' when it suits you and the 'smart card' when you see fit. It's getting a bit taxing. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  19. From earlier in this same thread: Jim Wallace is the one picking his nose. Here's his web page if you want to contact him: http://www.jimwallaceskydiving.com/ ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  20. A bit more info: http://cbs2.com/local/plane.wreckage.2.823382.html Definitely remember that day. Cloudy, cool, and jumps were on hold most of the day. The search was extensive with the Perris staff being interviewed since that was the last place he'd been seen. Sad to hear they located wreckage, but glad to know his family can put a final chapter to rest at last. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  21. This Episode of FRIENDS comes to mind... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  22. Yes, I remember that day. It was a cloudy day and I have the video/stills from a friend's 1,000th jump that afternoon. We waited for the clouds to clear, then chased a hole to make the formation happen. Here's a bit more info on this paratrooper. http://cbs2.com/local/plane.wreckage.2.823382.html Government personnel came to Perris to interview the staff the next day. I always wondered if this case would ever be solved. Some surmised he may have staged the crash and parachuted away to safety. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  23. If true there's a good chance we'll see younger and younger version of -this- among us. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
