    Jay Stokes!

So which Porter went down?! AZ or Spot? And is it fixable in time to be back on-line for Jay? It's raining cats and dogs here at my house (about an hour away from Elsinore). Is it just as grey and wet there at the DZ? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Well, perhaps we'll be able to issue him a USPA 'D' license by the top of tomorrow... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

    Jay Stokes!

Well, I would but he's not stopping to talk right now.... Actually, one news reporter wanted to do an interview with Jay and asked John DeSantis to arrange it for him. John grinned and 'invited' him to ride along to 'interview' Jay in freefall... Nope, he's not stopping. And the support personnel are awesome! Pizza anyone? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  9. Just picked one up myself today at Bonehead. I plan on getting it set up this week. If I do, I'll post pictures. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

    Jay Stokes!

Jay is currently well on his way to a new world record tonight! He started his new 24 hour quest just after 8:05 AM this morning and is on a new record setting pace. If he keeps up this pace set so far, he will have 544 skydives in 24 hours. Exit altitude: 2,100' Fastest plane turn around (Porter) 2 minutes 5 seconds! Fastest climb to altitude: 56 seconds! Jay lands, and while he has JUST finished his flare and is running out, he unclips his leg straps and runs to his next held rig. He's only on the ground for a mere few seconds... There are 2 Porters, 30 Javelin rigs with Spectre mains. All Cypres equipped. Jay himself has packed ALL the reserves. It's freakin' AMAZING watching this all happen! Stay tuned! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  11. Yeah, it was alot of fun this year! Weather cooperated up until the last hours... In addition to the record, there were tandems taking their first flight as well. Jackie, who is the head of the "Make a Wish Foundation" there took her 3rd plunge as she raised money towards the cause. Way cool! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  12. I like this. Can I quote you? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  13. Well, Lori, that sounds like a good, juicy story! You wanna tell us what you've been up to where you had to get lipstick out of a man's pair of pants? You see any orange juice around here? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  14. Web site, please? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  15. Oops. My bad. Must have been before my morning sip of coffee. The 20mm lens comes out to 32mm on calculation of 1.6. Guess I had that on my brain before it turned on this AM... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  16. The 18mm converts to a 32mm on the 300D. I use the fixed Canon 20mm lens for RW (tandems still like the 35mm film where I jump at this time). For freeflying, bring cashola....you'll be shelling out the bucks for something like a 14mm lens. Converts to a 22mm. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  17. Just a note here....lipstick, once it goes through the washer -and- dryer, does NOT come out of Dockers. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  18. Also seen on page 12 of the November 2003 issue of Parachutist. Hey! My November issue of Parachutist came today! Wow! (Just 10 days after my October one. ) Gotta say, my desktop sure looks nice there in print! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

  20. My dog just walked over to check out the commotion coming from my computer, listened for a second, shook her head and walked away. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  21. And as you've pointed out, 'human nature' is one in which a person spends without the backing needed to recoup. We've all been there at one time or another and KNOW what it's like to be stressed. Sure, in a perfect world it works, and for those who have learned it is handy...however, for the 'average joe' it's the leader in stresses and what follows is a downward spiral. SOMEONE has to pay the piper... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  22. Some countries don't even have credit cards. Perhaps they have the right idea after all.... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
  23. One of the first cameraflyers I met in my young skydiving days was my friend and mentor Andrey Veselov. Here is a picture of his own home-made helmet. Beautiful isn't it! Andrey's helmet His web page is even more impressive. I love his artistic impression in each photograph. Sky Photo ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
