Bite- or tongue-switch with chin-cup?
ltdiver replied to volkerschuh's topic in Photography and Video
What have you used before? I've used hand, bite, and tongue switches. I prefer the tongue switch with a chin cup set-up. Prevents any movement that a bite switch gives to the frame while shooting. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
Should be out there this weekend...weather pending and all, ya know... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Not to bring up an argument, but your comment caught my attention. I work with brain injured people in physical therapy every day and their reflexes are tested throughout their treatments. Here is a very easy web site to understand just how a patellar (knee) reflex arc works. It -does- respond with a reaction back -toward- the point of contact. Now, we could start a rumor with this one! When I first quickly read this line I thought you meant 'ring'! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Maybe you can PM Skymama and get her very capable and helpful neighbors to come over and help you out! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

The BirdMan suits have, for the most part, been sitting on the ground. It's been too FREAKIN' COLD to want to go up to altitude and hang! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Not only is it open, but you better book your time ahead of your arrival as it has a very busy schedule on the books already! I've never seen such a full parkinglot on a cloudy day at Perris!

If you're still having problems with quality printing with your 1280, call tech support at Epson. The tech that helped me out when I got my Epson printer was incredible. He went the extra step into recreating the scenario I was having with my printer on his own time and called me back (the tech support book didn't cover the print trouble that my printer was giving me, so he went on to research it on his own). I now get AWESOME prints. Was able to give some as Christmas presents to the family this year too!

Help buying a still digital camera

My "plug and play" digital camera can whip your "cut and paste" digital camera any time... ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
So does that means the Caravan is a bad aircraft for skydiving? I don't think the problem lies with the Airframe. I think you miss my point, JP. When you have a 'hazard' that is just a bit closer than another aircraft you're used to (read: experienced 4-way teams) then you have to be a bit more careful -not- to launch your...say...unipod exit quite to high....and a cameraflyer needs to be aware that he/she -might- need to vary their exit as well. I'm sure this aircraft is going to be a fantastic boone to the industry. I'm just not sure that it'll be the prime aircraft for any serious competitive teams. (note: if a skydiver jumps from -any- aircraft they need to be aware of the structure of that aircraft and how to exit from it. If the tail is a bit closer, then -don't- leap up and back with big wings on... ). ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

As promised. A few pictures of my BatRak set-up with TRV22 and 300D. (note to those who don't know me...-yes- I know the ring site is a blank. I like it and need it that way. Works just fine and doesn't block my one and only view. ) First 4 pics here: LightDiverCam last weekend. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

An Otter hit, huh. That must have been one large leap up by a tall person with springs on their legs...and perhaps some big ass harry wings! (or are you referring to the BirdMan tail/stabilizer hit at Perris last year?) ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

I don't think so. Shit happens. I've got better than 2000 jumps from caravans. Good airplane, not one close call. The PAC will be a fine bird... I know of 5 Caravan tail hits by cameraflyers. That's 5 too many IMO. I'm sure that the 750XL will be fine for most skydiving adventures. I'd like to get input from experienced RW -teams- as to what they experience with the bird, though. It'll take some time to get that info, though. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Thanks for the input. Nice to know for the next time. Not sure it would have worked on this particular dive since I was jumping and deploying just 2 seconds after they exited. (they wanted a Mr. Bill under canopy picture). ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Thanks. Yeah, it was bright with little puffy white clouds scattered around. The prints are coming out awesome...better than what this internet capture can give. Plus....Photoshop helps some to touch it up and give more definition to the background.

Didn't feel a thing where I work in San Bernardino. Or, perhaps, we were just too busy to notice something like this. We've just gotten over the fires that surrounded us! Now, the "San Francisco" earthquake....THAT shook the entire pool with seismic waves back in 1989! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

So many people miss this point in life. There was an interview made with over 1,000 old people living in rest homes. They were asked if they had their life to live over again, what would they do differently. Consistently the same 3 answers kept coming back. They would: 1) Risk more 2) Dream more and 3) Reflect. You could risk more without being a dreamer, but that is just being hard up for thrills. You could dream without risking, but then you are dead. And if you don't risk or dream....you have -nothing- to reflect about! So, the 3 really -do- go together. Dream, Risk, Reflect. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
