Who's talking about competitive? Let's at least talk about the idea that if a person want to do something simple like watch tv. Well, they can't unless they're pedaling! A sedentary activity turns into a productive and health producing endeavor. Yes. This can be for thing that are -always- on, like your refrigerator, etc. Most people would hate to go to work and come home to find their food spoiled! But of course.

Guys: Does a strong, independent woman scare you?

Jan? Is this you? Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -
For FUCKS sake! You can't win with the enviro's! No coal! Dirty. Wind Farm, noisy and kills birds. Solar field! NIMBY! Nuke? To risky. Dam? Harms the waterlife. OK so how do you want us to generate power? Pedal Power. People of the world are getting fatter. Electricity is getting more expensive. Solve both problems with a single answer. We get more fit, trim and healthy. The power problem is less of a issue (sight, sound, expense, and pollution). Brought to you by the Dept of Physical Therapy. Good god, woman! If that list is just experimenting I'm overwhelmed with what you're -real- intensions are next year! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

That's the way my 76 year old parents grow their strawberries (in a greenhouse in WA). The strawberries grow so well this way they're able to sell them to the locals as a side business. As a side note, my father always has at least one business venture going, sometime two. Right now he has 3! (insurance, frozen organic food [distributor for the area of an Oregon business], and his organic fruits and veggies from the green house). ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Huh? So, I went to look it up. Ah . . . "Courgette is the British, and particularly the New Zealand name for zucchinis." Thanks for the education. Never had heard that word before. As for my garden this year. A few flowers such as Columbines and colored Calla Liliies are all I added to my garden. The perennials planed in years past are going to town again on their own. Snapdragons (which I -thought- were annuals are sprouting up bigger than ever this year, spontaneously), Day Lillies, Tiger Lillies, Iris, Lilly of the Nile, Society Garlic, etc. Finally transplanted the bush-tree that I've been protecting and training up for the past 3 years in a pot. It's over 3 feet tall now! It's nicknamed "Butterfly Bush". Can't remember the latin name right now, but it's in full bloom and its little lacy purple flowers are very nice. No veggies this year. Decided to support the local growers in their delicious production. We have a local fruit/vegetable stand right down the road. Nice to read about everyone's creativity again this year! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Ever watch Bill Cosby's routine on "Chocolate Cake"? It's priceless! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Right there with ya, however I buy the Marie Calendar corn bread mix. Just add water and bake in the oven. Square pan required. I used to HATE corn bread as a kid but grew to like it as an adult . . . as long as it was slathered in butter and honey. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Might want to post that link again, as the one in your post doesn't bring up the helmet you're asking about. btw, why not go with a proven skydiving camera helmet? Why try and adapt a ski helmet? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Possibly. However, it can happen if you switch brands of tape. Best advice is to choose one brand of tape and stick with it. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

We start them as soon as medically stable. The sooner the better to prevent 1) Loss of muscle mass (strength), 2) Promote healing (improved circulation and bone strength), 3) Improve mental status (who likes to be cooped up between 4 walls for hours on end? . . . without end), and 4) Prevent horrid things like pneumonia and bed sores. And yes, the initials P.T. don't just stand for Physical Therapy . . . they really stand for "Pain and Torture". ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

SO good to read your words, DSE! I can imagine what you're going through (one of my current patients has a similar injury to yours and YES the swear words are part of the recovery). Us therapists DO have 'strong ears'. In my patient's words now (3 weeks later from his car accident) 'he's amazed that it -does- get better and to hang in there'! And yes, the pain meds are sent from god...without them there'd be no moving at all. A new chapter in your book. One not planned for, but wow is it going to be a doozy! "Happy" healing . . . ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Haven't read the book, but googled the author and came up with this very interesting bio: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/obituaries/article490682.ece Looks like it should be a good history book, well worth the read. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

It's been more than "June Gloom" here in CA as well this summer. It's been cloudy with rain, or cloudy with mist almost every day the past few weeks. Also had a severe lightning storm last wednesday (a week ago) where there was one fatality. Weird for California. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Yep, been there myself as well. Welcome to the club, DSE ? All I remember thinking at the time was "SHIT, why did I do that stupid move?" I happens in an instant. Here's to a quick mending! The sky is waiting for you my friend! Oh, and obey your therapists. It may -seem- that we love pain, but that's not really our goal... Any (therapy) advice you'd like to ask, feel free. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Actually pickle juice stimulates the appetite! Seriously. Or if a person has an aversion to that technique, kimchi works just as well. Just eat 30 minutes before your meal, as an appetizer. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

How to get to perris from LA airport
ltdiver replied to busybob25's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Really? Very interesting. With all the loss of houses in the area (Perris #1 and Elsinore #2 in California) it's amazing that infrastructure such as this is still in the plan. Or....Melanie will get her wish and actually get her Air-Park with all the goodies she's dreamed about! . . . Plus excellent transportation to bring the throngs out from LA to play! At our current (but upgraded) DZ. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -

Just got word today that our own Catherine Enselme (of Paris, France), who is a flight attendant on Air France long range flights was -not- on this flight. I'm sure several of her friends (co-workers) were, though. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
