I call it placating the tyrant kid to keep him from having a meltdown, without really giving him anything of substance, like the recent summit. "OK, we don't see eye to eye and can't come to an agreement so we must stop here, but should you change your mind, give me a call." Sounds better than "fuck this shit, I'm outta here."

You also don't kick the can down the road avoiding dealing with North Korea like Clinton, Bush and Obama did. North Korea somehow gained the ability to make nuclear weapons during THEIR watches.

Simple solution: Hide the Bonfire and Speakers Corner forums. There, problem solved. There's a toggle switch. You go to the page where you see all of the forums. The header that covers Bonfire and Speakers Corner is called Community. Click on the "-" bar at the right end. (poof) hidden. Of course, you lose Women's Only, Disabilities and In Memoriam. Maybe it's time to separate Bonfire and Speakers Corner from the rest? Edited to add: Actually, maybe the Skydivers with Disabilities and In Memory of forums should be moved to the Skydiving group of forums. Bonfire, Speakers Corner and Women Only forums pretty much deserve their own group. -

I didn't start it. Jerry Baumchen did. Scroll up. Edited to add: Hell, I probably should have just answered Jerry's question to me, via PM. He also could have asked it via PM. Or he could have asked it over there in SC, but he asked it HERE. (shrugs) Anyway, it's done. I answered the question. Whether people get into a snitfit over it is up to them. -
No. Trump walked out because Kim didn't see eye to eye with him on the issues. They made some progress but I knew this wasn't going to get resolved in one or two meetings. Look, I know Kim is a murderous scumbag and I don't trust him, but he and his government haven't done any saber-rattling in a long time. It's been over a year since the last missile test over Japan. The public insults seem to have stopped as well. I'd say that's a step in the right direction. Whatever we had been doing for the last 60+ years dealing with those guys just haven't worked. Can't blame Trump for trying something different.

I didn't care to watch. I knew it was gonna be a Democratic shit show. What did Cohen say about Wikileaks releasing Hillary's emails? Assange tweeted about it in June 2016, yet Roger Stone's discussion with Trump on that was apparently in July, after the fact. Doesn't add up for the Democrats. Talking about collusion, Cohen said he worked with Elijah Cummings and Adam Schiff to prepare for his testimony. Sounds a lot like Hillary getting debate questions ahead of time during the lead up to the election. Hell, even CNN is calling Cohen a liar. Meanwhile, Trump is in Vietnam working with North Korea on the nuclear issues, as well as getting Vietnam to order $15 billion in Boeing aircraft orders. WINNING! The Democrats are desperate. They'll do anything to get Trump out of the White House. Collusion? My ass. It's all on the Democrats.

Well yeah but... specifically what did Manafort do that alludes to collusion with Russia in the election? That's the point. It's been 2+ years and we have yet to see concrete evidence that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia. I'm going with Hillary and the DNC colluding with Russia and falling flat at the polls anyway. Man, they had the odds stacked in their favor. LOL

Another question.... in the old format, we had a link at the top of The Bonfire where we could go into the list of members and sort them by post numbers. Is that still here? -

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but I've noticed sometimes that it's hard to distinguish between a poster's post and the quoted post he or she is responding to. In the old format, it was easy to tell, if people used the mark-up tools correctly. Any way to make it read a bit better in that regard? -
Amazing how fast the media jumps on a story and makes it as anti-Trump as possible and celebrities left and right condemns the incident. And THEN the truth comes out. It's fun watching all those idiots fumble around trying to backtrack or delete their comments. We all saw this with the Covington students too. Look what just happened, the Washington Post got sued for $250m by Sandmann. I expect the Chicago Police to serve Smollett the bill for all expenses incurred investigating his bullshit fake attack. It's going to be substantial.

Apparently, the state's leading shitbrick, Governor Cuomo, has a problem with Brooklyn's shitbrick Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez over this brouhaha. The Dems can't get along. Now with 77 year old Socialist Bernie Sanders throwing his hat in the 2020 POTUS race, I must say it's gonna be fun watching the Dems tear each other apart. The mud slinging's gonna be epic!

I forgot to mention this but... Trump could very well make Mexico pay for it indirectly, out of the asset forfeiture fund. El Chapo Guzman, I believe had some $14 Billion seized. You'd think Trump could elect to use that, wouldn't you? That's just one way. Irregardless of where Trump gets the money from, a barrier is going to get built, one way or another. Just sit back, and watch. You'll see.
