    Apparently, from what I've gathered online, Neal, the owner of the tower, stayed home in Charlotte, NC, so the tower is unmanned during the hurricane. The camera equipment did go out at some point during the storm, so all you're seeing now are "highlights", ergo, old video footage.     The interesting thing I read about Florence from a news conference was "do you want to get hit by a cement truck, or do you want to get hit by a train?" The analogy I got from that was a cement truck = fast moving powerful storm. Train = HUGE slow moving storm with seemingly endless hours of rain, wind and flooding. My aunt has a house in Topsail Beach across the road from the water. From the ground, you can't see the water due to the 6-10 feet high dune, but you can from the 2nd and 3rd floors. Sure looked like the eye went ashore right there between Wrightsville Beach and Surf City. I was there less than 2 months ago.     I'm pretty sure I've seen those jumps, on a VHS tape somewhere. Back when I was starting out in the early 90's. All my VHS tapes are boxed up somewhere in the attic, along with some of the VHS tapes of MY 100 ways in the late 90's. I haven't had a working VHS player in a long time. The good old days...     Good thing the couch was there to break her fall. I had a cat get stuck in the same tree, 20-25 feet off the ground, same spot, THREE times. Each time I had to climb the motherfucker, grab her and stuff her in my bag and climb down. The last time I used my Sony D1 or whatever its called, in my helmet cam case to record the rescue. I started recording while standing on the ground, calling out to her "HEY KITTY CAT..... DUMB ASS!!" The mini DV tape is somewhere in a box. No idea where it is... Censoring and shadowbanning have been happening on Twitter as well. However, the social media app GetonGab.ai has been growing by 10K members a day, and they tout themselves as a free speech site.     I'm hoping you mean being a dad takes a lot of money. You can still be good dad. I can see how that can mislead people. Yeah I do the best I can. I just don't have the discretionary money to spend on skydiving to keep up with it safely. My older girl is in honors classes and making A's and a B here or there. The younger one is more of a challenge, but she's a hard worker. Still does well in school. Never a D or F. We don't raise slackers. Well, good on you then. Raising kids is the most important job in the world. Indeed it is. And making sure I'm there for them during their time of greatest need as well.
