Is there any info on Tandem Master breaking his leg in TN last week????Skydive East Tennessee???? I heard from one of our pilots at Skydive Smoky Mountains that someone had been injured and would like to know if it was a bad landing or caused by the winds at this dropzone. With over 4000 Tandems I have never had a refusal. I dsid have our bartender at carlos and charlies in Ixtapa grab the bar in the otter door and start crying but he told me on the ground to make him go no matter what he did so I removed his hands from the bar held them and said in his ear SuperMan cant land in a stinking plane, He had a full on Super Man costume on. The girl in the video would have made the tandem if her instructor had enough since to see and help confront her real fears on the ground and on the way to altitude. He chose to play the stupid scare games we all play from time to time. Wrong choice for thea situation. and what was up with the chest strap being so low and the harness pulled down to far in the rear. that sure made her feel safe. A couple of things that help me and my passenger are 1. I assure them that I can and will take care of them. I tell them no matter what anyone on the DZ says to them We are going to have a safe exciting experience. 2. If I see that they are truly frightened I look them in the eyes and assure them that I can handle what ever happens on our skydive reminding them that what ever happens to them happens to me and I am ready for everything. 3.when I hook up I do not mess around I verbally conform each connection fallowed by a psychical tugg on that connection after the last I ask my passenger if they feel secure and they all seem to and know I am aware of their concerns. 4. I let each and every one know that there is nothing they can do to cause us to die. They are always scared they will mess up they are going to cause their death, I again assure them that if they do every thing wrong and forget all we have talked about It will still be ok. Souther Field (http://www.southerfield.com/) in Americus is another well kept secret in Ga. Charles Lindbergh bought his first plane there and made his first solo flight on his way to becoming a great pioneer in aviation. The runway was extended to accommodate Air Force One for President Carter. The airport is next to South Ga Technical Collage (http://www.southgatech.edu/) and has plenty of open landing space. Also I believe the camp is part of Americus' Lindbergy Days celebration. Interstate 75 to Ga highway 26 west. Ga 26 west to GA highway 49 south, turn left onto Ga 49 south it will take you through Andersonville (another worthy stop in the area http://www.andersonvillegeorgia.com/) and to Souther Field. The State record has been a long time coming. It will be neat to see Ga skydiving coming alive and together for the attempts later in the fall. Is anyone planning other camps yet? Great job!!!!! now I am jealous. Those who know me know my son Stephen. He is Autistic and has been traveling with me for several years. He helps with my passengers and is right at home at any DZ. He has asked to jump twice and been suited and harnessed twice but backed out both times on the walk to the plane. I know he wants to but I will wait until he goes all the way with no pressure. Glad to see the family is pursuing the truth. When it is all said and done maybe the assholes out there will stop blaming the victim here. He had the ability to take his drunk ass in the hanger and pass out on an air mattress. His new skydiving friends thought it would be funny to float him passed out on the air mattress with a rope tied to his belt loop to retrieve him. This has been done before at the farm I believe there is video of Lance being floated while passed out. when they were done playing with him he was left beside the pond rope still attached. So tell me why it was his fault??? He put himself in a safer place to pass out. he was placed in a dangerous place by skydivers with disastrous results. A few years back I took several of my employee to Atlanta motor Speedway which is 120 miles north of home. On the way home I had to shit really bad when it hit it hit so I pulled off on a dirt road to shit. Well my guys were all laughing at me and hollering shit at me calling me a puss and just being shitty to so when I was done I picked up an old cup that was laking on the ground and scooped up the shit. Then I got in the van looked the windows and put the shit under center ac vent and turned the heat on high. Then I said Now lets see how long you guys can stand this shit........LMFAO.........Man it got bad even for me but I made those basterds ride all the way home. The next day we where tearing shingles off a house and they where talking about me bing nasty and I told them the were nasty too watch I will show you. I told all of them if they didn't get of the roof all day I would give them 100 dollar bonus for the day. If they got down they work for free that day. No bathroom breaks and no pissing off the roof. 2 of the young ones took the bet. 95 degrees on the roof and they shortly forgot our bet. I put the. cooler on the roof full of gaterade. about 11ish they where dancing the rain dance. LMAO...... One of the boys pissed all over him self and then the other. By the end of the day I could smell their ass' from the ground...Great entertainment....Dumb ass' didnt even think to piss in the gatorade bottles, they kept throwing them away.
