Seems really weard that you ARE MAKING ACCUSATIONS about something with out asking the person you are accusing. The person you are accusing is a rigger. Why would they sign your name? This person also sent the rig to you and refused to pack it. When was the cutaway? In January? Yes. You know that! You sure do like to go around making statements that you can not back up or even have the slightest proof of. What was the Last pack date on the card when it was brought to you? Where was the rig between the last time you packed it and the time it returned to you? You dont have a fucking clue. Did you ever think this person might have pencil packed themself and pointed at someone else because you caught them? He clames to have jumped at your DZ 15 to 20 times with this rig in the last 2 years. Did you not know you had not packed this rig then? I am sure Kevin loved you and all the people who shared his Life. I know that love gave him hope and strength . Being depressed and having overwhelming anxiety both at the same time feels like the moment you were told your son was dead only 100times worse and is like a wave up and down but never gone.when it gets worse and you know you have no control the only thing that keeps you alive is the thought of the ones you love and their pain. You use that to help get to the other side as best you can. You always know in the back of your mind that one day it will overwhelm you and you will stop the pain and suffering until then you live as best you can and love as best you can. The people in this world who beleive suicide is selfish are them selves selfish. They will never understand the pain or the depth of it. It is what it is . No one to blame and he new that. I am the Rigger responsible for this incident, Chris Whitley. This is what happened.This is my personal rig and I should have been jumping it. It was loaned to another TI for use. This was also the first jump on a new main that was assembled by master rigger. The rig was disassembled washed and reassembled last week by me. A new main was installed at Dublin. The main had a malfunction. cutaway and reserve ride were fine. after landing the L-Bar on one of the rear reserve risers fell apart. There were no screws in either side and no stripped threads. This was a rigging mistake on my part and there is no excuse . I am responsible. I feel very fortunate that my friend and his passenger are here today. I will be making a report on this to the FAA and will allow them to do their job . If you have any Questions please feel free to post them here or PM me directley. It was safety Day. The Jumper felt his reserve pop as the pilot was giving us standby. He let everyone in the plane know instantly and the door was not opened. the pilot chute was on the floor between the pilot seats. Great call and even better responce from all on board.
