Many thanks for all the replys. All I have to say is wow. Everything has such depth and detail. Almost like ...well like 3-D. lol I can see layers like blades of crass and individual rocks on mountains. I'm pretty much stunned with amazement. Anyway It's been just over 24 hrs and everything is great. 20/20 in one eye and 20/25 in the other. It's should get a little better after some healing. I'm jumping next weekend and seeing the dropzone from altitude is going to be a trip. Thanks Ed

Rick James Dead Stephanie Cole - Clear Channel News The man who took funk music to another level has died. According to network broadcast reports, Rick James was found dead by authorities in his Los Angeles home Friday. Although the "Super Freak" singer had a long battle with drugs, it's believed he died of natural causes. The 56-year-old was recently honored at the ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards in Beverly Hills in June.

I'm getting Lasik surgery tomorrow. I'm not sure what to expect except to see better. I have a moderate astigmatism and near sightedness. I used to jump with glasses but it was a pain handling them on the loads. Also my depth perception was a bit messed up on landings. No glasses and I can't see the wind socks till about 500 feet. (yeah I know) Anyway for those who have had the surgery what is a realistic expectation? Has it helped you in anyway as far as skydiving? Thanks Ed

I'm really happy to see the use of electrical outlet protectors in photo 4. Here's some info from State Farm's website. Statistics on Fatal Electrical Injuries in the United States The chance of electrocution is small, but the results can be devastating. According to a 1994 estimate of electrocutions released by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), there were 890 deaths in 1984 (1.4 deaths per million people), decreasing to 560 in 1994 (0.9 deaths per million people). These figures include all age groups and count only fatalities and not shocks and injuries. Household wiring was involved in most of the electrocutions.

This one time... I bought a Lotus....
Islandcool replied to Islandcool's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Well... I'll tell ya. I'll do my best but I can't write as eloquently as Mr. Phreezone or Bill Von on reviews. I don't have a lot of experience under a lot of different canopies. Read some of the threads on the lotus and I would have to agree with the positive characteristics that were brought up. Flat glide, Responsive, great openings and on heading. Great all around. I liked my hornet but I really find this canopy a joy. Feel really comfortable under it. -

20:10:burp Did the Bridge the Gap event at Lake Elsinore this weekend. Outstanding event! Spent 20 min in the tunnel friday and got some body position issues I developed after surgery sorted out with Tammy. She was a great coach. Jumped with Hamo and Lou for coaches on the weekend. Really great stuff. Ed
