Hooknswoop landed his VX 60 loaded 3.1 here in Colorado at I think 6500 and 9000 ft. I know it's not 11,000ft but the canopy was loaded 3.1, we joked about jumping and landing on pikes peak (14,000), but he didn't think the parking lot was a long enough run way. Start at one side of the mountain and go off the other side. Fly it like you stole it!

One other thing I saw in here that should be mentioned. Jumper dragging thier rig across the ground. This is hard on your rig, your risers, your hardware, everything. Walk your canopy to your rig when you are stowing the lines. Fly it like you stole it!

Hey girl, guess what I got to try this weekend......TRAD!! Can you say slow climbing. It is definately a challenge, and my wallet is screaming at me to not give in to the little demon in my head that says "Buy more gear". Fly it like you stole it!

Fox had the same thing that last year after eloy, it turned out to be a bacterial infection in her colon. 24hrs after her 1st antibiotic she was a happy little camper again.

Care to elaborate? Honestly, just curious as to why you think that. Ramon I was told that by CobaltDan himself when I mentioned some things about the canopy I didn't like. He told me I was underloading it at 1.1 and needed to be at 1.2 or higher. *shrug* never did get around to jumping it at a higher WL. Found the post where Dan says 1.2 is the min. Fly it like you stole it!

No, we all need to impose on Mary, Kelli and Derek in Colorado and this time all of us rock climb together! WooHoo!!! Great idea! I never did get to climb in Arizona (damn you all to hell for not calling...) AND...sadly, I never climb here either. I try to keep nice weather days for jumping since I am a newbie. Anyhoo, I would love a new challenge... Hmmm...everyone is moving in with me.....Ok, but I expect someone to do the dishes. Fly it like you stole it!

I have flown a Crossfire 1, Crossfire 2, Cobalt, Stiletto, and samurai, all 120 sq ft or smaller at 1.1-1.3 and they all flew just fine. The stilettos and cobalt would breath quite a bit in turbulance though. I don't think there is any reason she can't do it, she just might not get all the performace out of it as she could something at a higher WL. Fly it like you stole it!

Last time that happened to me I waited to long to go see the Dr. and ended up with a ear infection. He put me on Allegra and Decongestants and it still took another week to clear up. Now I take decongestant in the morning before jumping during allergy season. Fly it like you stole it!

Close. Main Lift Web. Leg Pads. Yoke. On my rig it's MLW, leg pad, laterals difference in length from standard. there are actually 4 measurements. My rig before they fixed it was 15/16/-1/-1, now it's 15/16/-.5. so the yoke is standard size and the laterals are 1/2 inch shorter than standard. Fly it like you stole it!

My 1st cutaway around jump 75, I got quite a bit of "friendly advice" about not cutting away and working with the mal. That I could have landed the mal, it was only a suck toggle. I really felt bad, and was kicking myself until Scotty Carbone walked up and said "Screw them, you were the one under that canopy and made the right choice". Still it bugged me for weeks, left me feeling like I screwed up. So jump 396 canopy opens a takes off spinning.....try a few things quickly check it out, can't figure out what was wrong and chopped it. Turns out it was a popped toggle but the way the brakes were, it looked like they were still stowed. I kicked myself for chopping something when all I had to do was unstow the other toggle, then I remembered what Scotty said. I also know of people who have gotten shit for chopping the same kind of mal, and I always wondered if the harassment I got after my 1st mal would make me hesitate, luckly that was the farthest thing from my mind.

Actually, I've always wondered about that. Bill Booth, Kelly Farrington, Brain Germain, and other influential people in skydiving all start and Newbie and work their way up the chain. Why does GG get the title of Maestro? - Jim Cause this aint no damn democracy. Fly it like you stole it!

The wings isn't that hard to pack, it's just different. I personally think the Talon is hard to pack cause of the spring, doesn't mean I won't pack it. When I was planning to buy my mirage I asked hooknswoop, if he thought there was anything wrong with it. He started to whine about how hard it is to pack....I told him to give me a real reason, and he didn't have one. Now he he doesn't complain about Mirages and even recommends them to people. Between packing his V3 and my Mirage, he has learned how to makes them look very pretty. So the more your rigger packs wings the easier it will get. Fly it like you stole it!
