You may want to start working out, we have a reputation for brakeing people.
-
I've heard he like whips chains, and I've got a bag full of zip ties with his name written all over them.
-
yeah, we try as hard as we can, but we just can't keep Josh and his evil video camera away.

Our little Brit joined the Army.....she wants to be a golden knight

I'm up for Friday night, since I'm going to the theater Saturday night and it's Brit's going away party. I'll bring the apple pucker

Now kids quit fighting, don't make me break the two of you up. Tiff is uncurrent so it's easy to see why someone would be surprised she is going to be jumping this weekend, especially since the winds are suppose to be pretty funky, last I check 9 gusting to 30. Btw Clay....Tequilagirl has really nice boobies.... Kelli

Yes and no, Like Phree sayed the large canopy is definately more forgiving, and Saber brake lines usually are to short, look at your canopy in full flight next time you jump it, is there any bowing, pull down your toggles and see how far before you start to pull on the tail, you should have to pull it a few inches. Now I did experience the same thing when I went from a saber 135 to a crossfire 116, the crossfire was way easier to land. On the other hand it was not very forgiving to mis-timed flares. Now are you flaring the saber a bit late which would cause you to have to run your butt off, under say my crossfire it actually wants to be flared later, that was the hardest thing for me to relearn. One other thing that could have made it easier to land is the fact that you know the dangers of ellipticals and were paying 200% more attention to what you were doing and flying it than say thinking about how your jump went. damn both canopy nazi #1 & 2 have quit....it's soon going to become canopy anarchy around here..... So where did I put that order form for a VX 40.....
-
luckly they don't have to post as often as Clay
-
ummmm....well the guy who jumps the VX 60 @ 3.1 has done over 600 jumps on it in the last year. Averages about 10 jumps a weekend. He is also a pilot working on his commercial rating. As for a layoff, he has to jump at least one weekend a month, he can go longer, but doesn't like to.

you know all this talk about crossbraced canopies made me remember one of the guys at the DZ talking about a crossbraced F-111 canopy that used to be manufactured. Anyone know anything about them, I don't want one, just curious.

Yep he is still on his 60, he is looking very pretty. This weekend him and another guy up at Dallas were doing formation swooping, it was sweet to watch. Of course you know he will be the first to tell you to pay your dues before downsizing. Lets see he had something like 800 jumps on the 70 before he went to the 60 which he now has something like 600 jumps on, and before those he had over 1000 on an Alpha something or other. Kelli

I have a brand spanking new crossfire all of 6 jumps on it, got it just a few weeks ago. I can't tell the difference in riser pressure from my old crossfire. My boyfriend who jumped it to make sure that there were no problems with it in front riser turns said that he had no problem doing 720s with it (yeah he was front risering the shit out of it) or holding double fronts for as long as he wanted. He said it flew extremely stable and really like it. btw...you can ask Zennie my bf is definately qualified to test jump and judge canopies. Kelli

Hmmmm....well for DZs out of Texas I have to go with Elsinore, had a blast when I was out there last year everyone was super friendly and got on a bunch of sweet freefly jumps, wish I could go back again sometime soon, but it's just not in the travel plans. As for in Texas and after having the 1st great weekend at a DZ in months, I have to put a vote in for Skydive Dallas, everyone was awsome there all weekend, I really felt like I was at home, and I haven't felt that since Skydive USA closed it doors. I can't remember the last time I went out for dinner with 25 other skydivers after jumping (we actually managed to not get kicked out even with Cyndi trying to throw fries in Perry's Margarita and Perry throwing tortillas back at her), I thought Big DZs didn't do that anymore. If it wasn't for this weekend both my boyfriend and I would have probably ended up quiting. Thanks Tequilla Girl and Skydive Dallas for a GREAT time. Kelli

yep he still has that 2 beer limit, then it's off to bed for him....So as they say, when the cat's away the mice shall play, or in the case the when the wonderboy's away the cat shall play.

And to think I just bought and filled a cooler with Some yummy Mexican beer for Tequila Girl and myself. Wait?!?!?!?! There are 2 you and Dereks...now I'm going to be all confused....ok just call my Derek Wonderboy. But you might want to run after you say it.... How come I suddenly have the feeling I'm going to be spanked for that...

didn't you know, everything is better in Texas.
-
Chris Miller.....Yes I know he does look odd without a student strapped to the front of him.
-
yep you get us next weekend.

wait now that I think about it, she had her arms out like she was sitflying.....she actually can sitfly, so it was easier for her to do it with out causing a spin, and her legs were kind of like she was kneeling, except she had his container and body pinched between them. If the rider is going to put thier arms out, they have to pay alot of attention to making them the same or the rider can easily cause a spin, Also greg said he was doing most of the flying with his upper body, that his legs were not helping out to much. I guess it's just a matter of practice, also the rider may want to go a try a few sitflys cause once she can do that without spinning, a rodeo is a peice of cake. Kelli

I did a kind of hybrid rodeo dive with 2 of my friends a few weeks ago. What they did was get outside the plane and line up like they were going to do a sit train, but instead faceing the tain, they were facing the props, when they exited she was already on his back and since one leg was wrapped around him, all she did was bring the other one up. They patato chipped for a little bit, but once stable they were able to fly around and do turns, I docked on them several times in a sit. Another thing is Cyndi was wearing an RW suit, but she didn't haven't the booties on, she folded them under so they wouldn't catch air. I don't think she was holding on with her hands, but I can't remember. They held it to almost 5K, I broke off at 5.5 to give them time to get away from eachother. Kelli

Back when I was in High School we used to do stuff like that, except it was a on a frozen lake, being pulled by a 4x4, although no one ever got hurt since the worst thing there to hit was a snow drift. Lets see we pulled people on sleds, skis, knee boards, inner tubes, whatever we could find that would work. Kelli
