That is cause we are all trying to get you to show your boobies btw...I got another one of the itty bitty bikini tops to wear under my jumpsuit again this summer.
-
no kidding...I only have 2, and I'm the one getting kicked out of bed in the middle of the night. Oh wait make that 3 and both the big ones (dog and bf) try to hog as much bed as possible, the cat just tries to sleep on my head. So ladies don't forget that extra pet you have, I mean they do fit that catigory....you feed them, you clean up after them, you take care of their boo boos, you take them out of the house.....I think that pretty much makes them all pets. So I have Foxy, Memnock, and Pookie Bear.

if he is a nervous dog call him cypres.....like is a cypres fire waiting to happen.

I've jumped a digitude from jump 1 without a single issue. I never had any problem reading it or understanding what the numbers meant. Everyone at my old home DZ learned on them, and as far as I have seen from the DZ I currently jump at the uses analog, they actually had a lower loss of altitude awareness rate. Derek has a good story of a Dr. not pulling cause she for some reason thought the altimeter was like a watch and went clockwise instead of counter clockwise. I've seen a lot of video of the student looking at the altimeter and still not pulling, when they came down they said it just didn't register. Anyway, I had no issues with it, and maybe cause I actually had to look at it, the altitude registed more than just glancing to see if I was in the "yellow". I still jump one and all I have to do now is glance cause my brain is programmed to know what that number means.

If I were you I would hide target or he maybe come Derek's next late night mission. He already has this new style of risers that he built that he needs test jumped.

hahahha.....he just wants to have more posts than Clay

Ummmm....how come I have a feeling you only said that to make people mad?
-
Still standing?? Damn I need more jello shots. Actually I don't own one, but it would work great for under canopy, both hands free to stear.
-
I would say 1 and 3 fit pretty well.

I was at a boogie, and some guys there had a beer on a rope, you know like soap on a rope. It was a coozie, with a strap went down the sides and across the bottom, so you could keep your beer cold and both your hands free for balance.
-
You mean you actually do that much to your canopy?
-
Actually I tried an oxygen on, it was a Med and a little to big for me, but that thing wasn't coming off, on the ground both Derek and Tom (one of the JM's from Waller) tried to get it off my head and couldn't. So you might want to try one of those, I'm actually thinking about getting a factory diver cause I don't need the flip up face shield. Just wish someone had a small I could try on to make sure it would fit right.

how about gaffers taping it to your head

Nope can't do that then the damn throttle will get stuck again. Especially now that he fixed my car up and she is running like the day I bought her, I have a feeling that throttle will be getting stuck alot. Well you all know who I'm dating, we are going on 10 months, and I'm currently waiting for him to come up with the idea to co-habitate. He said the sweetest thing last week, "I don't think I could ever find anyone to put up with my shit as well as you do". You have to know Derek this is a sweet thing coming from him.

0:2:0 2 drill dives with my sweety who is currently in trouble for that 1st number being 0

Well boys what is the technique? I'm willing to make Derek try anything so he isn't in pain every weekend. Well almost anything other than rolling the nose or psycho packing. The VX60 is way to touchy for that kind of stuff. Actually now that I think about it, nevermind. He comes out of the sky so fast that he needs every little bit of altitude he can get just to make it back to the DZ and set up to land.

Actually it's the opposite, your kill line has probably shrank and needs to be replaced, for most kill line PC it is a quick and easy fix. I think in gear and rigging hooknswoop posted an artical on pilot chute maintenance he wrote, if he hasn't yet I'll have him do it today.

Ok Spy38W's post made me think of this, how many of you actually get gear checks in the plane. I check my gear on the ground, I pack for myself, and am very careful when moving around with it on. I can feel my own main pin, and if I do need a gear check cause something doesn't feel right or I just felt the need for one, I will ask someone I know who knows the kind of rig I jump. When I jumped a Reflex I refused to let anyone give me a gear check cause of the special way you had to close the main flap so it wouldn't come open in freefall (tucked under only the side flaps not all 3). Well if you opened it with the rig on my back it was almost impossible to get it back in the right place. Now my Mirage is pretty hard to mess up a gear check unless you completely open the reserve flap instead of just lifting the bottom and looking at the pin, cause it is hard to get reclosed. Still today on the plane when one of the TM yelled "Make room for the tandems" and I stood up (I'm 5'1 and can stand comfortably in an otter), the guy behind me started giving me a pin check without asking if I wanted one. That made me very nervous, not only cause I didn't know who the guy was, but I had no idea if he knew what he was looking at. Well ofcourse I did a quick re-check to make sure everything was where it should be, and all was fine. Personally though I prefer for someone to not give me a gear/pin check unless I ask for it, or they ask me if I need one first. Actually if you as me if I need one, especially with my Mirage I will probably say sure, and then ask what color my kill line is just to see if you really checked it.

Ummm......*fwap* bad boy, next time check your gear, that is what the little window on the pilot chute is for. Especially when borrowing gear, checking everything, cause who knows what is wrong with it that they didn't tell you.
-
Ummm...I'll pass on that. If I'm not going to be swooping the shit out of every landing, I don't want the trade off, which is hard shitty openings. First jump today Derek and I doing drill dives, turn track, I pitch out and while I'm snivling, I see Derek pitch. Well as I sit there cringing my canopy finishes opening. Now for my canopy I actually had a fast opening, but it's a crossfire, so it was still soft. What I saw I thought I would come down to Derek saying he is seeing stars, nope....he said that was actually one of it's better openings. You know what I think I'll stick with my crossfire, plenty of performance to play with and nice soft openings. The swoop gods can keep their spanky X-braced canopies.

Hey I had the exact same problem. Just call or email Mirage, they will take care of it for you. When I sent mine in Jeff himself called me and I spent like 30-60 min on the phone with him discussing how it fit and where it pinched. 2 weeks to the day I sent it in I had it back, the whole backpad, the laterals, and the yoke were all replaced. They even threw in the new stainless legstrap hardware. It fits perfectly now.

It's ok Sis.....right now I'd take sex over skydiving in a heartbeat, it's been almost 2 weeks since I had sex, or maybe it has been 2 weeks, I can't remember it was so long ago.
-
Wait let me add this since when I ordered I had no need for consulting about the gear I was buying. If you need someone to consult about gear, I'd recommend Lisa @ square1 in a heartbeat, she may give advice on the conservative side, but she knows what she is talking about and has seen it all, and sometimes conservative isn't a bad thing
-
I have to agree with Phree, both tequilagirl and I ordered our new rigs from Marcus at Pier-ltd. The services was great, and the price was the best I could find. Actually both Square One and Pier were really close price wise for the total rig, but when I decided to not buy a new cypress Pier won out.
-
Derek and I have talked alot about this, you as a rigger have every right to do what you want with your rig since it is your ticket on the line. I know a few riggers who the only time they open the reserve is when they use it or get it wet, and other like you, once a year whether it needs it or not. The only concern I would have in the cypres and it's batteries. Not the 2 year battery change, but as we all know batteries can leak and do bad things, but if I remember correct you don't have one so that isn't an issue. I have seen the last 3 or 4 of my repacks come out of the freebag exactly like it went in. Actually my reflex sat in a closet with the reserve poped but still in the freebag for like 3 months cause all we did was take the cypress out to put in my Mirage, and when we pulled it out of the freebag it too looked great. So I have no problem with what Lisa is doing, she isn't going to hurt me if she has a reserve ride, and if she is like most riggers and anal about her gear then she isn't going to be putting it in places that could cause her issues. If she had a cypress then I would say she should open it more often.
