Is that our mr. serious 300lb nutty professor making a joke...... Actually with what happened last weekend (my best friend dislocated her elbow), I decided to make this weekend a hop-n-pop weekend, not from altitude though cause I'd be loopy as a loon by the time I got down from hypoxia. I might have landed fine last weekend, but by moving to Denver I basically downsized 2 sizes so it's back to the basics and getting it all nailed back down.

I know on Derek's 60 that the slider is so small that it is the determining factor on how much the risers spread. So for him there is no added benifit of doing more than loosening the chest strap. In my case the yoke of my rig is so small it determins how far the risers spread, when I loosen my chest strap it usually hangs with slack in it. Now what I want to know about that picture of charlie is what kind of toggle/risers are those. It doesn't seem to be triple risers, but it looks like the stearing lines don't go threw the guide rings on the risers.

It's been a bad year in general and the summer is only starting, be safe out there I don't want to loose anymore friends. Also, when traveling this year remember that new DZs have new hazards and if one of the locals tells you to cool your landings down, listen to them, what could it hurt being a little extra careful on a few jumps until you figure out the lay of the land. Don't forget though that they aren't being mean they care about you even if they don't know you and want you to be safe. Kelli

The safire 2s are also using the crossfire, VX, FX measurement standard which is like the PD measurement standard.

Hook was just up visiting, but he will be moving up in July. As a little added insureance I'm holding his spare rig for ransome.

Hey Bill, Come winter tell me how the winter driving is with it. The mustang is almost paid off and I'm not planning to get rid of it, but I'm guessing by next year all need something a little more snow friendly and since I have one gas guzzler, might as well get a non-guzzler for the 2nd car. Although the Mustang earned her gas this weekend driving through the mountains, especially downhill *evilgrin*

"Ferrets are evil. The only way to make them behave is to grab them around the neck and pop them on the head until thier hind legs twitch" - Hooknswoop I had fantacies of doing that to my cat during the 11th hour of driving to CO when he started yowling.

Hey wingie....Zap me a PM when you make it to Colorado Springs, if I remember right from the drive up it's about an hour or so south of me. I'll give you the skinny on the DZs.

Hey guys sorry we didn't make it, but I know you understand about the move. So anyway Hook came and visited me this weekend here in Denver, so of course we had to jump. Field elevation at mile-hi was exactly 5000 ft higher than Skydive Houston. (Per my alti) Anyway cause I know you all are wondering....yes the landings were faster, and no neither one of us ate shit, actually other than putting my feet down to soon I had good landings. Derek on the other hand, well his quote of the weekend was "This is fucking awesome...I should have moved here sooner". So nope he didn't have a problem with the 60. Apparently we are now the talk of the DZ, Derek with his 60 and me the only chick at the DZ on an elliptical. Oh Derek also got to land his MR-109, something about a hung toggle on his first jump, I kind of liked the theory one of the guys had that he was scared to land the 60. That happened on load 6, he repacked and was on load 11 or 12, what a true addict. We also spent one day hiking in the high country something like elevation 10,000 ft. Can you say sucking wind, besides the views being breath taking, the air was a little thin

Lets see, had a crossfire on the Mod list that was affected, traded it in for a new one that was built in Spain and not affected in anyway. It has been test jumped with Maximum front risering and it didn't even twitch, front riser presure is fairly light, if I can pull it down it is light. Have had no problems with it other than the brake lines came from the factory set up for front risering and since I don't normally do that I had them shortened. Jumped a crossfire 2 of the same size, again light front riser preasure, faster turns, even more flare, not twitchy but was actually able to harness steer. It had been test jumped and was extremely stable just as my crossfire 1 is. I have not jumped a modded canopy but I have seen one test jumped to try and make it collapse and it couldn't be done. If you want more information PM me. Kelli

Jess are you going to get to see your pookie this weekend too?
-
Hmmm...well I definately have a 1 cause I've curled old Derek's toes more than once. Now what I wonder though is if licking salt off TG and JumperPaula (although I've done my share of kissing on Paula) count.
-
hehee...ok...but from now on I guess we will have to call them by thier full names, cause you know they are men and confuse easily
-
Another bonus of the thong is when you moon the plane as it takes off for the sunset load you don't actually have to pull it down since you butt cheeks are already bare.
-
next time have him pose nekkid.....errrrr....ummm....HI
-
Yeah but if all you can do with that aircraft carrier is leave it tied up to port, I'll take the jet ski anyday
-
Hey that's Derek's pet name.....go find your own.
-
yeah....we are having a blast...come play with us.
-
nooo....he meant take the slider off and put a diaper on it.
-
yep any new icarus canopy you get is now under the new measuring scale. The crossfire was always under the new scale, only the safire wasn't.
-
ummm...this pic so fits....and yes that is my dog hungover sleeping on the couch.

dang it boy..hurry up and get healthy, I have a plane up here in Denver with you name on it. I'll even be nice and share the O2 with you
