  1. Hey it looks like I will be able to go, well as long as nothing breaks and I have the money. Fly it like you stole it!
  2. hunting pants/cargo pants make perfect pants for making freefly pants. I've made some for both Derek and myself. It does help though that he has E-thread and can sew though Fly it like you stole it!
  3. I usually give it a 6 second delay so my pro-track can log it. Anything less and it doesn't know I jumped. Fly it like you stole it!
  4. You will probably need to shorten them, Icarus has been sending them out with the factory mark long enough to do front riser turns. I ended up shortening mine about 4 inches. Try this next time. Grab your toggle up at the top where the line attaches, this is much better than wrapping the line around your hands. The way I do it is have the line go between your index and middle fingers, then practice flare, this as a general rule has allowed you to shorten your lines ~3 inches. Fly it like you stole it!

    Mirage G4

Actually it was designed that way due to the acid mesh scare along time ago. That is how they TSO'd it then, and since they still use the same TSO as they had on the wonderhog, it has to stay that way unless they want to re-TSO it. Fly it like you stole it!
  6. I would be worried too. I jump a mirage and had a repack last week, when I popped the reserve it launched all the way across the living room (to bridal strech) and hit Derek in the chest. If I was that guy I would read my mirage packing manual and watch the rigger pack it. He could be packing the bridal wrong. (Derek packed one a few weeks ago where the bridal was folded wrong. nothing major but he would have ended up with twists in the bridal) Fly it like you stole it!

    Mirage G4

Well a direct comparison of the 2 would be in my house. I have a Mirage MXS and Derek has a Micron 304. Both VERY solid containers. Bridal coverage excellent. Riser coverage excellent, but both of us like the mirage's better because you can't see the internal riser covers at all. Both has excellent reserve pin protection, although Derek is not very keen on the meshless reserve pilot chute. It does work perfectly fine though, he has had 1 reserve ride with the system. Main pin protection on both is great, but the way the flap tucks into the micron I don't really like, it could be cause the container is so small, but the way that flap is squared off at the top and the space for the excess bridal is so small I always worry about catching the bridal with the tab. I don't think it would be an issue though since it should just untuck. Ummm....both of us think the containers are very comfortable. Mine is definately heavier, but then again it has bigger canopies and a cypress, but still I think the mirage just weighs more in general. Fly it like you stole it!
  8. Patience?? what is that....I'm pretty sure I don't have any of that....nope none that I can find... SOOOOO.......I WANT IT NOW *jumps up and down* Now now now Fly it like you stole it!
  9. Ok so where is the webpage that has all who have yuppie #s....even my Ugly Girls have their web page. UG#1 Fly it like you stole it!
  10. My only complaint on the low chest strap on my reflex was that the 3-rings were also attached lower so when I was jumping it with my crossfire and flared it would swing me out forward funny since they were attched near my boobs rather than my shoulders. I have a 14inch MLW on my reflex by the way (bought used). Fly it like you stole it!
  11. No NO2??? Fly it like you stole it!
  12. Are you thinking the Safire2 instead of the crossfire2? The Safire2 and the Sabre2 are in the same canopy category. Fly it like you stole it!
  13. My Reflex has a low chest strap I'm not sure of the DOM off the top of my head, but I'm thinking it was around 96. My new mirage has a chest strap right on top of my girls, but it fits so well I don't even notice it there. Fly it like you stole it!
  14. I'll just ask Josh, he is always taking pics. Fly it like you stole it!
  15. ohhhh.....jumps, not humps......Well I'm way ahead in the humps catagory Fly it like you stole it!
  16. Slappie are you swimming naked in the pond again? Fly it like you stole it!
  17. ummm....by clean do you mean scrape the dirt off or wash it? To scrape the dirt off a fingernail brush works perfect. To wash it I recommend having your rigger do it since they have to take the reserve off and the cypress out. On a side note Derek washed my rig this weekend and it looks like it is brand new. He put it in the bathtub with mild laundry detergent and hand washed it. Fly it like you stole it!
  18. Hey PM Derek (hooknswoop) about this. He relined his dragon with continuous vectran lines while leaving the brake lines dacron. Fly it like you stole it!
  19. You would be surprised at how many riggers don't even pull the cutaway cables out of the housing, just pull it threw the white loop and that is it. Heck I've seen a bunch of repacks where the reserve closing loop hadn't been replaced in several repacks. Just cause you and Derek consider that service standard doesn't mean other riggers do. It really is surprising the difference between riggers. Of course the riggers that take 10-15 min to do little extras are the ones with extremely loyal customers who come back time after time. You can tell in their work too, it's the difference between a pack job that is tight, clean, with the pilot chute seated perfectly and the one where the pilot chute is lifting and you can rock it around. Fly it like you stole it!
  20. *giggle* O2 is for wusses.... Come play with me you can go to 18(MSL) every weekend for the low low price of $20. Hmmm.....You may need a bigger canopy though Fly it like you stole it!
  21. Who packs your reserve? I don't know how they do it in the UK but that person should have the stuff on hand for closing loops. Or do like fastfaller said and make your own. Fly it like you stole it!
  22. An SCR (Star Crest Recipient) is your 1st 8-way where everyone freefly the exit (meaning exits with no grips) and makes a round. I haven't seen any of it here in CO, but it's HUGE in TX and other places down south. I'd get it started around here, but pookie bear doesn't have his and I think he'd feel lacking....3000 jumps and no SCR....even I have mine. Fly it like you stole it!
  23. Blue skies to Jason and Brad, Skydive Dallas used to be our 2nd home. Both our hearts go out to everyone there. Fly it like you stole it!
  24. Ask you rigger, I know Derek is always making some. Fly it like you stole it!
  25. I should know if we can go in a few weeks. Stupid job
