  1. I already drank 1... and discovered something... if you mix a beer with muscle relaxors, it feels like 6 beers. MB 3528, RB 1182
  2. i think its just one of those gray areas... like the newbies that post pictures of things they Want to do as their avatar. like someone with 1 jump posting a headdown picture or something. i really don't care what they put in there. MB 3528, RB 1182
  3. I read the first one I ever signed. after that, its just basically all the same legal crap whereever you go. its not like the DZ is gonna try to throw in something stupid like "you agree to give us $500 today". MB 3528, RB 1182
  4. actually the military decided to release this for you kramer: http://veepers01.budlight.com/service/RetrieveCard?id=07E0AE54-63F0-11D8-96D0-E3635E514682 god i love this veepers thing MB 3528, RB 1182
  5. not gonna even ask why you are taking pictures of guy's genitals . must of have been no chicks at that party, eh? MB 3528, RB 1182
  6. I did something similar at my house. We had an external cable modem though, and so I bought a $40 router, plugged it into the cable modem, and then plugged both computers into the router. I think you will need to get a router, most of them are good quality for $30-$50, they come with 4 slots, and they come with free software that does all the IP stuff. basically you plug in all the stuff, and run the software... it does the rest. we didn't have to pay the internet people any more money or anything like that. 7. but sheep CAN talk. check it out. http://veepers01.budlight.com/service/RetrieveCard?id=9761E0C2-63C6-11D8-BE46-E3635E514682 MB 3528, RB 1182
  8. I think in one of the original posts of this video, someone was able to post a direct link to the video, so you could actually save it... I just checked my copy, and it plays fine without being connected to the internet. MB 3528, RB 1182
  9. I use a pair of scuba diving gloves... the aren't all that great. What does work, however, is just a pair of latex gloves as a liner. They are very thin, can go underneath any glove, and they really do keep your hands warmer. MB 3528, RB 1182
  10. riiight. here's the video i uhh hacked off your computer. http://veepers01.budlight.com/service/RetrieveCard?id=4BB53786-6381-11D8-99FD-E3635E514682 MB 3528, RB 1182
  11. no kidding. it scared the hell outta me. seriously though, that is about the greatest site ever! I'm planning on making a lot of people from dropzone.com say stuff MB 3528, RB 1182
  12. I think that HIV is not like rabies, and so you can't just take anti-viral medicine right after infection and be ok. Once you get it, you have it forever, at least, with the medicines we have presently. Just personally, I would feel pretty angry if I was a person doing a tandem, had a problem and some blood got spilled (bad landing perhaps), and suddenly I have a lifelong disease. In today's world, a TM and the DZ could be sued for a lot of money if something like this occurred (and yes, I know its a 1000 to 1 chance) my advice is to talk with your DZO, so in case you get injured, he can make sure everyone takes the proper precautions. and perhaps just take up AFF instructing, or as someone else suggested, tandem videos. but you shouldn't need to tell just other people at your DZ. also, you may want to take the test again man... I have heard about some people that got like 3 false-positives, then took it some more and discovered they never really had it. you might be one of those people. MB 3528, RB 1182
  13. I think something might be wrong in your calculations... according to your table, we might guess that a 1 degree angle would have a force multiplier of around 25... this implies that if you take a piece of chest strap webbing and keep the ends perfectly level and horizontal, it would take less than 20 lbs to break it. I can't believe that... would u mind posting your formula for the force multiplier? I can't figure out what you did from your writing (of course, its probably me... it is 1 AM here) and of course, you have to remember that during a hybrid, the hanger will NOT be putting a force of 1 G on the strap... since the jumpers are both already at 1 G, the "relative G-force" would be 0. and remember, the hanger will only fall faster than the belly flier for maybe a half a second, until the pull on the chest strap brings the belly flier to the new hybrid speed. we'd have to calculate the acceleration the belly flier experencies from the hanger... I would just guess its less than .5 Gs. MB 3528, RB 1182
  14. actually, i was talking to a friend about this, and we figured it would be a lot easier just to sew padding onto the inside of a jumpsuit on the back. MB 3528, RB 1182
  15. I think you're right. unless someone has a good enough grip that they could do a pullup with a couple 150 lb people holding onto them (500 lbs total), then i think the hangers grip would break before the strap. MB 3528, RB 1182
  16. I was scared lots of times when I was on student status... since then, I've been scared a few times, but only on stuff I was doing for the first time, possible malfunctions, etc. MB 3528, RB 1182
  17. I hope you don't have booties on that... I've discovered booties + sitfly = unstable MB 3528, RB 1182
  18. riiiiiiiight. i got 55 but i forgot to get a picture too. MB 3528, RB 1182

  23. wow, the courts are doing something good for a change. good riddance, telemarketers! MB 3528, RB 1182
  24. we once had a girl like this doing a S/L jump at our DZ, and we had to have someone stand behind her when she did her practice arches geared up... the weight of the big student rig would pull her over. she did fine on the jump though. MB 3528, RB 1182
  25. I'm not sure if this belongs in general skydiving forums... maybe talkback? MB 3528, RB 1182
