i checked snopes, and this is actually a real scam, but very over-exaggerated. heres some of the key points. Not every phone number in the 809 area code is part of this scam, and calling such a number will not necessarily result in exorbitantly large charges on your phone bill. Most 809 numbers are ordinary, legitimate phone numbers. This scam has been used with other area codes besides 809. The amounts of money involved have been greatly exaggerated as this warning has circulated on the Internet over the past several years. i can't understand why spammers do this... if people put up filters, its because they don't want spam and won't order things from it. its like if telemarketers started calling up people on the "do not call list"... just seems like extra work for nothing. i guess the spammers are just hoping one person out of 10000000 they send it to buys it. main problem i see is that during RW, you might end up with a strobe going off in your face several times, and thats no fun. i think if you want to be really well seen in both freefall and under canopy, get a neon colored jumpsuit and canopy. MB 3528, RB 1182
