bwahahaha. I can tell the AFF training must have stuck. MB 3528, RB 1182

ok that makes sense. but out of curiousity, wouldn't putting a pocket on your slider slow down the opening on any canopy? why don't manufacturers just do that? MB 3528, RB 1182

im hoping to do one of those this weekend. a rigger is going to pack it into a big student javelin... a question though, how do you normally deploy one? is it ripcord or throw out or what? MB 3528, RB 1182

ok guys, lets just say this: Bush won... not by a huge amount, but he did get 51% of the vote. Yes that means 49% of the voters didn't want bush. the election is over and bush is the pres for four more years... can we please stop the partisan bickering now? MB 3528, RB 1182

it looks like bush might win it. damn MB 3528, RB 1182

actually we tried to do that exact same jump today with a pumpkin, but we couldn't see where we were for the spot because of thick clouds... and we boringly, but wisely, called it off. last thing we need at our DZ is farmer mcnasty with a hole in his house. MB 3528, RB 1182

horrible facial deformities. MB 3528, RB 1182

I think the naked 100th jump only happens at small DZs nowadays. My DZ has it and I did it. We also pie people, but with just whipped cream... none of this disgusting old milk and mud stuff. MB 3528, RB 1182

I totally agree. Its easy to say "I wouldn't give them the satisfaction, I would fight back, etc". But until you are there, you don't know. Hell, i don't know if I would beg for my life or attack them or just pass out from fear. And I damn well hope that I am never in that situation to find out. MB 3528, RB 1182

are you the one thats dating her? or wanting to? MB 3528, RB 1182 -
I have never paid someone to pack for me once i got off student status. I guess the benefit of being at a cessna dz is that their aren't many people who are designated packers, and so you learn to pack your chute or you don't jump. MB 3528, RB 1182

hahaha. i like how she danced for a little bit then just walked off. MB 3528, RB 1182

Me and a buddy are gonna try to get a even better one then aggiedave's pumpkin... its inspired by him though MB 3528, RB 1182

ugh... my DZ has a pd230 that i have had to jump lately a few times... it has a few hundred jumps on it, and it opens like crap and flares like crap. It seriously stalls out at about quarter-brakes. My friend also had a used pd190 and it barely flared. They only thing its good for is when you stall it out, it holds a fairly stable stall that can be ridden for a few hundred feet. MB 3528, RB 1182

yeah but then his brother would just take over. I have no clue what his brother is like, but the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. MB 3528, RB 1182

nope its definitely not the scuba gloves... they work fairly well, but not when it gets really cold... thats when i add the latex gloves underneath. then they are warmer. I bought them years ago specifically for scuba diving. And yes i could go out and buy a fairly nice windproof set of gloves for around $30 bucks... but if it ain't broke, don't fix it. besides the latex gloves are just a liner... if i went out and bought a better set of gloves, i would probably put latex gloves on before those too. Well, latex gloves have worked for me. And I jump in kansas, which can get fairly cold. during the winter, we jump in below 32F on the ground, and 20F at altitude. I wear the latex gloves under scuba diving gloves, and i put them all on before boarding. so i wear them 20 minutes and have no problem with cold hands, although i can feel a little moisture in there. yeah i've noticed that too. in fact, last weekend i somehow took out a chunk of skin on both wrists... reaching up for risers too soon? also, part of it i think is that the freefall dries out the skin around your fingernails, and riser slap, taking grips, and packing tears open that skin. at least thats my theory on why my fingers end up bleeding every weekend from the fingernails.
