hehe those students eyes sure get big when they hear "DOOOOOOORRRRR!!!!" MB 3528, RB 1182

I've used the scuba dive gloves too... they work fairly well with latex gloves under them, but the leather palm is terrible for hanging off the strut on a cessna. its just too slippery. MB 3528, RB 1182

bungee is scarier for experienced skydivers in my opinion. i've done a couple 100m ones and the ground rush is terrific. really scary. but for a whuffo, i think skydiving is scarier. MB 3528, RB 1182

haha nice. whats the sticker say? MB 3528, RB 1182

they are a blast. get video! but things to remember: they usually only go up to 5k or so. since they don't have a 80+ mph forward speed on jumprun, you can't give a 5 second count and go. You have to look out and wait until the jumper below you is no longer beneath you, or give them a LOT of time. also, i really never noticed the prop blast. it felt like a normal "deadair" jump. Kansas State University Student here. we actually have a skydiving club here, so we get approx 100 first jumpers (S/L) each semister. we have quite a few experienced jumpers/K-state students at our dz... our biggest thing is being poor students, and so not making a lot of jumps. MB 3528, RB 1182

"hijack this" its a good program that shows you everything thats in the backround. but you must understand at least some computer stuff to figure out how to use it properly. do a search for it online. its free MB 3528, RB 1182 -
you say its sfw?!?!? liar MB 3528, RB 1182

nah this looks like animal rights groups to me, not anti-gun group. its wrong what they are doing anyway, regardless of their position on anything. MB 3528, RB 1182

hehe, i already have some aluminum flashpowder for this weekend at the DZ. oooooo another question for pyros: Are model rocket engines fun to throw in a bonfire, or are they dangerous? MB 3528, RB 1182

If you are the only instructor teaching a AFF or S/L or IAD First jump course, how much do you get paid? Is it standard to get paid per student or per class? At my DZ its $20 per student for the S/L course MB 3528, RB 1182

a question for pyros... i know powdered aluminum makes a nice flashpowder, but does powdered zinc do anything? I "acquired" a few handfulls of this stuff and am wondering if to toss it or save it for a DZ party to scare people near the bonfire. MB 3528, RB 1182

hahaha you wish it was that easy. I once got a ticket that said i was guilty of going 47 in a 52 zone (it was actually supposed to say i was going 47-52 in a 35 zone) I tried contesting it, and they said "how about we call in the cop who wrote it and they can tell us how fast you were going?" so i pussied out (i was 16) and paid double to get it off my record so i wouldn't pay a shitload for insurance. heres a thread similar to this one http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=408314;#408314 basically to do it legally, you need a Pro rating, a commercial-licensed pilot, and a FAA-aproved modified jumpplane... just jump at the DZ MB 3528, RB 1182

Is it possible to convince anyone of anything here?

well i've learned that some people can't rise above simple partisan bickering, saying liberals or conservatives are all stupid idiots, etc. MB 3528, RB 1182 -
haha:4:0 threw a few practice static lines for my instructor rating. also went from jumping a sabre2 150 to a sabre1 230. ugh. MB 3528, RB 1182

if you get an alti3, get the glow in the dark face. its the same price, and it works really well for night jumps or "sunset" loads MB 3528, RB 1182

practice, practice, practice. also you could try varying the order in which you do them, to see if that helps. MB 3528, RB 1182 -
so a student could do an 8 way with 1 coach and the rest are all non-coaches or non-instructors? is this the correct way of reading the BSRs? MB 3528, RB 1182

night jumps kick ass! since you have to do a solo on first one, make sure to roll over on exit to watch the glowing, blinking plane fly away. make sure to give A LOT of exit spacing. I did my night jump out of a pac750, and they spaced it out pretty good... 6 people per pass. some people forgot to turn on their strobe under canopy and so it was a damn good thing we had enough spacing.
