    Uhm. What about other people? 5 acres isn't much land, a bad spot could put that skyball through someones roof. I'm no expert, but that sounds like trouble to me. from what he said, the nearest house is several miles from the DZ. As long as they don't use the skyball on a day where the uppers are blowing towards the house, it should land just fine in a field. MB 3528, RB 1182

    I've never heard any news stories about nuns being beaten or imprisoned for removing their black-robe-thing. But i have heard multiple times about women in islamic countries beaten or jailed for showing too much skin... like an arm or an ankle. and yes i know that there are large differences between fundamentalist islam countries and uhhh new islam countries (is that what it would be called?)     be careful with those new oxygen ones. The coating on them reacted with my eyes when I tried them, and I got some sort of reaction/infection. One of my eyes was permantently damaged from this. MB 3528, RB 1182

    I've also heard of people attaching a glow stick to their rear risers. This both lights up the canopy, in addition to helping locate the canopy if you had to cut it away. MB 3528, RB 1182

    once in 1999 it hit 69 cents a gallon in kansas. thats when i had an SUV and all was well. good thing i got rid of the SUV before this "magic" suddenly-china-is-using-5000%-more-gas. I suspect somewhere the gas prices are artificially high, and not just through speculation. MB 3528, RB 1182

    this weekend. We are jumping in fairly strong winds, about 20 mph. I come onto final, lined up for the peas. Its now gusty and squirrely as hell... just as I flare and my toes touch the ground, a large wind gust hits me. I get picked back up about 8 feet in the air, pushed backwards about 10 feet, then the canopy stalls and drops me into a ditch. ouch. amazingly it was just bruises, although i did leave a large imprint in the ditch.
