keep in mind that even new altimeters can be malfunctioning though its rare. it happened to a student of mine... brand new altimeter stuck at 9k during freefall. MB 3528, RB 1182

I have nearly 500 jumps and I still haven't seriously touched headdown. I think its so much better to really master a sitfly before i move on, because a sitfly is many times the recovery position from headdown. and mastering a sitfly is much more then just being able to stay stable. Can you sideslide, turn, transition into a spike, take docks, do flips and cartwheels, all with great stability? unless you have lots of tunnel time, it seems unlikely MB 3528, RB 1182

he is completely correct to say 6 months is 6 months, and if you miss it, too bad. at the same time, him declaring the certificate "worthless" and refusing to work something out with you is bad business practice. short term gain for a long term loss. MB 3528, RB 1182

I'm understanding from your post that the altimeter doesn't fit properly, and so its wiggling on your hand? one of the jumpers at my DZ always wears a glove on the left hand, so the altimeter fits his hand better. its simple and effective MB 3528, RB 1182

maybe in albania or something... IIRC, if you are disabled and can't get a license normally, you can get a restricted license. it has an R in the license to let people know. like A-55555r MB 3528, RB 1182

you know that song radar-love? johnrich has radar-gun-reports... he can detect a gun story from 1000 miles away MB 3528, RB 1182

something tells me that even if he gets a dishonorable discharge, he will be able to find a job due to anti-war people he knows giving him one. of course, they will make him take out the trash one day, and he will refuse to "serve as a janitor in an unjust trash-hauling procedure" and try to resign his job MB 3528, RB 1182 -
he wants too much. Why pay 200 pounds less when you could pay that extra 200 pounds and get your own custom size, and custom colors? MB 3528, RB 1182

is Fort Riley (an army base in Kansas) one of those unusual ones that regulate things? my buddy is a captain, i assume this is above E-4 rank (e-4=sargent?) MB 3528, RB 1182

ideally, you would riser turn one of the canopies away from the other one, so they are clear, then cut away. for a student though? we teach them if it isn't a downplane, let it fly and land it... WITHOUT flaring. MB 3528, RB 1182

this kid?!? my buddy says he is ok with it, and in fact wants to hang it on a wall because it would be a ww2 era rifle and cool to look at, old man I do really think he just misunderstands the rule... apparently he was thinking of on-base housing, which everyone here says requires different rules then state gun rules. Since many of you on here are military or are gun-law experts, i figure you can answer this question. I am looking to buy a rifle, however, i currently live in a buddies house. I pay rent, and he owns the house. He is active-duty military. He says that he cannot have a gun in his house without doing all sorts of forms for the military higher ups. He told me this is because the gun would be in his house. I beleive he is mistaken, but i can't find anything on the web about this. The closest I can find is a rule saying military personel have to abide by the gun rules of the state they are in. So is he right? Or if I buy a gun and abide by my states laws, does it matter if its stored in a military guys house? MB 3528, RB 1182

I suspect he knows he will lose the lawsuit. but he's doing it to raise awareness about his point. I don't agree with suing people just so you can raise a point though. whether i agree with them or not. MB 3528, RB 1182

I concur. Mugabe would be a much better target now. We need to convince Bush that uhhh rhinos are WMDs and Mugabe has them. MB 3528, RB 1182

IF it sticks, don't do that. Just turn off the current, THEN knock it off the metal. MB 3528, RB 1182

I'm not sure this is a great idea. Spit will dry into smears and lines on the faceshield, unless you wash it off while the spit is still wet. I would go with anti-fog liquid made for eyeglasses, not SCUBA. All of those require you to rinse the hell out of the plastic you put it on... kinda hard to do with a helmet without getting the inside all wet. MB 3528, RB 1182

its possible that if it was twisting you back into the twists that you were kicking the wrong way. If line twists are new to you, then somebody didn't learn via S/L MB 3528, RB 1182

it sounds like the plan is if they drop a conventional bomb to blow a pit above the underground bunker, then drop a nuke into the pit in order to destroy the underground bunker. how big does the pit need to be for the nuke to reach the underground bunker? thats what they are testing.
