I suppose someone couldn't post a direct link to the video? My work computer won't install flash... so i can't get to the link via the website. MB 3528, RB 1182

My 4 co workers (ages 21-25) all heard it. One of them brought up a good question... why don't the kids just use VIBRATE?!?! the teachers can't hear that one either. MB 3528, RB 1182

The 8 glasses of water a day thing was a guess by a doctor a long time ago. The only time I really concentrate on drinking a lot of water is when I'm jumping or trying to avoid a hangover. MB 3528, RB 1182

I don't think i could even throw my main PC with my left hand. I might be able to touch it, but toss it? I would have gone with reserve... much less time wasted trying to reach around to get the PC MB 3528, RB 1182

how much does it cost to get into the gun shows? i don't see a price on that page, just a $1 off coupon. what do you all normally pay to get into one? MB 3528, RB 1182

thanks for the tips, everyone. I am looking at getting a SKS rifle and a russian mosin-nagant. They are good, cheap plinking and fun rifles. And there should be several dealers with these rifles. And someone mentioned this, but I know that I can buy them online but since they will be used, I hate buying a used gun without getting to hold or inspect it. And the 1 gun place within 50 miles of me has two SKS's, both really overpriced. MB 3528, RB 1182

No this isn't a whining thread about them. I just know many people in here have probably gone to them... and I can't go to gun forums because my work has blocked them. I am going to my first (beeeeer) gun show this week, and wanted to know any tips people had. I am looking for a couple specific rifles... also the gun show is over two days... is it better to come at the beginning of the show or at the very end? and purchasing a gun at a gun show... do i do the entire background check right then or what? Do I need any documents besides a DL? Also do most gun shows take checks or credit cards, or should I bring a lot of cash? MB 3528, RB 1182

I would argue that sort of situation is unsafe, because if you can't stay tight during a 30 way, its quite possibly to drift into someone else's air, or hit someone, etc. And with 30 people in the air around you, if two people collide, its likely that more will crash into their burble, creating a big funnel. And at sitfly speeds that is dangerous. MB 3528, RB 1182

Anyone still think that the war wasn't planned pre-9/11?

no we don't. research why we imposed sanctions... and look up why Saddam didn't do the necessary things to get rid of them. Saddam kept the sanctions willingly, so he could have a scapegoat for keeping his citizens poor and their hatred focused anywhere but him MB 3528, RB 1182 -

no matter how much you train a student on canopy flight, they will f*ck up. You could spend hours with them discussing canopy flight, have them watch videos, and I know they will flare too high or too low on at least one jump. stilletos (like any HP canopy) are much less forgiving of f*ckups then navigators. Its that simple. MB 3528, RB 1182

it appears the main benefits would be a lighter canopy, with possibly an increase in seam strength. the downsides are expense and increased packing volume, as there are no holes to let air out. am I reading this right? cause it sounds like the current stitching method is better MB 3528, RB 1182

many people on here feel the need to be brusque and tough because they think it makes them seem tough and cool. theres nothing wrong with discussing the waivers. MB 3528, RB 1182 -

We will have 3 planes here on Saturday. 2 C-182s, and 1 C-180. I know I am looking forward to jumping out of a plane I haven't before, even if it does look a lot like a c-182 MB 3528, RB 1182 -
I agree with what you're saying, but I just thought I'd mention that tunnel time isn't strictly necessary - I've managed without any tunnel time

So. Do we execute THESE kinda guys for desertion?
bch7773 replied to akarunway's topic in Speakers Corner
I know I will get flamed for this but.... I agree with you that the military should follow orders. But what you are saying here sounds like what german soldiers in WW2 were told as they commited war crimes. Military personal should never just blindly follow orders without thinking, because what if one day they are ordered to execute civilians, or some other war crime? MB 3528, RB 1182
