Mission Accomplished - Remember when George said that?
Ron replied to freeflydrew's topic in Speakers Corner
The main military advisor to that conflict was telling him it was done. The guy that was in charge of the whole thing was saying "Hey, its over". Who would you listen to? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334 -
So, with the CIA, English MI6, the Saudi Intelegence, and HUMINT from Iraq, you think Gore or Kerry would have made a different choice? Kerry also supported the war ill it became unfashionable not to support it. Yep, let me guess you don't have any? Read any on the middle east? Do you know that there needs to be stabalizing force in the middle east and SH was not it? Do you know that the four largest Muslim countries have some form of Democracy and also the least amount of terrorism? SH supported Terror..He gave money to the families of suicide bombers. Everyone agreed (Including Kerry, Clinton, Gore...et al) that SH wanted to have WMD's. So yes, it was a good move to remove a violent Dictator that has used WMDS three times in his history that wanted more and supported terrorism. One that under his reign killed more of his own people than the entire war will. And replace him with a Democratic republic. Still less than he killed while he was in power. I thought Dems liked helping the needy? What France and Germany and a bunch of Nations that hated us before anyway? It didn't change anything...It just gave them one more reason to hate us...Funny how France had economic ties to Iraq huh? So the fact that GWB was misguided is bad...But the fact that Kerry and EVERYONE else was ALSO misguided is OK? By the SAME intel no less. Gee, the fact he did support terrorism, and started one war already plus used WMD's before and was trying to get more. Tells me he was a bad guy, doing bad things..Add in all of the humanitarian reasons...And it STILL was a good move. Take off the rose colored glasses....Countires hated us before and they will hate us no matter who is in office. You think 9/11 would not have happend if Gore had won? How about Beruit, the first WTC attack? The Cole? ALL happend under a Prez that let OBL alone....And yet he still attacked. Being hated is one of the bad parts of winning the cold war and being the only remaining super power. I think what is worse is a guy that votes whatever will make him popular. What makes you qualified to say that you think it was him and God, and not him and the US? Yep, and so far as I can tell he has not stepped on your right to worship a pig name Gil if you want. I think a moral leader is a much better choice than the past guy or a guy that will do what he thinks will make him loved... Kerry: " I'm popular, I'm smart and gosh darn it...People like me! I'm JFK II". "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

You will still slam Bush for the "Mission Accpompished" statement. You will say he was led to lie. (Popular with you guys). It will have about as much power as Kerrys Purple Harts...Some will rally to him, others will say they were faked. Same here. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334 -
But Kerry has the answer? Your OPINION...I think it was the best thing to do. Speculation with no facts...Nice try at a slam. Oh, but Kerry will save us...Since Bush could not get support, and HE VOTED TO GO TO WAR...And he does not plan to pull our troops out..You think the world is going to embrace Kerry? He will not change one thing if he gets in office...And the Nations that hate us...Will still hate us. Morals are bad? Oh thats right you like Kerry a man tha will go whatever way the polls go.....Till another poll tells him to go back. Gee if I wanted to influence the election I would wait till late Sept, earlyOctober....It to soon for this information...It will blow over LONG before Nov... However I JUST released a book that I would like to sell. And people knowing I got the President to say something I wanted will make BOTH sides read it. Gee could it have someting to do with Franks now having a book released last week? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334 -
Kerry says he has an exit plan...But can't talk about it... Kerry has the support of World Leaders...But can't say who they are. Kerry has grand plans for everything...But no real plans. I am seeing a trend here "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

I have been to both websites... Kerry makes a ton of promisses but no action plans. WHO is paying for it and how? Money just does not appear when you create a trust fund. And how does he plan on PAYING for it???? Is he going to open his wallet? Again HOW??? Is he just going to print more money? I have looked at his site, and all I see are promisses that he can't put into place...He can try all he likes, but money is not going to just appear when he says Shazam. In fact I have spent more time on his site than Bush's.... Kerry has no WORKABLE action plans. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Ahhhh.......whiiiiiners can't take what they dish out
Ron replied to TheAnvil's topic in Speakers Corner
So people who were in the same situation that he was in claim he is a jerk for what he did...And they would know since they were in the same situationa s him... And they don't have any credibility? BTW the folks for Kerry...Well it would be hard for me not to support a guy I served with ...I maen think of all the perks of having a friend as President? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334 -
Got proof or is this just a claim from the left? Got proof or is this something you saw in a movie? So if you really want to kill someone you will do it anyway right? So why outlaw the only way for you to defend yourself against that? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

None of this says HOW he will do it. HOW is he going to fund NCLB? HOW is he going to get teachers to go to high need schools? HOW is he going to pay teahers more? HOW is he going to reduce dropouts? HOW is he going to pay for the mentoring? Lots of promises...but no action plan. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
-
UH.... Kerry just says he will support education. He does not say HOW he is going to do it. As for NAFTA and Free trade...Only countires that have above poverty level? What about the conutries Mrs. Kerry has factories in? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Uh, what crappy body armor do you base this on? We shot RBA with 5.56 and it bounced off. 7.62 however went right through. And if guys are comming after you with RBA....Well its not your local pissed off robber wanting an X box. I'd rather have a med caliber pistol, or a shotgun. However, I do have a 5.56 as well. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Thats it...Its getting insane. Its time we outlaw bats. It's clear that they kill, and don't give me that crap line about "Bats don't kill people, people kill people". Or "If we outlaw bats, only outlaws will have them". What are we as a civilized society to do? We must stop the making and selling of bats. "If there were no bats, there would be no bat crimes". Think of the children...Bats are glamorized in such movies as "The Natural" , and "Babe Ruth Story"...They are show how to use them by such movies as "Scarface"... We must band together to outlaw bats..... "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Cause its better than the other "darker" side? I mean, why do you support Kerry? Is it because you LIKE him? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

And you never answered my question of how many were repeat offenders and what were the circumstances of the convictions? I mean two guys in front of me, one shoved a guy due to the guy cutting in front of him while getting tickets to "Yanni". The other jumped and beat down a guy while he was coming out of a McDonalds due to the fact he had a blue hat on. While I might sentance they guy for going to see Yanni in the the first place, shoving a guy is not as bad as beating the crap out of another guy. Also the first guy while having no taste in music has only ever had one ticket in his life (Speeding in a Volvo). The other guy has been in and out of trouble since he was knee high to a gang banger. Who do you think I am going to send to jail? So your numbers mean nothing without history and situations. No, you love Al Gore (not in a homo way) as the rightful leader of your world, and you think Moore is a hero for F911. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
-
Have any proof that I feel that way or are you just slandering me? Typical Democrat. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

No, but if you look AT YOUR OWN NUMBERS it shows that blacks are commiting more VIOLENT crimes...Well given the choice of throwing a guy in jail.. Are you going to throw the guy in prison who stole a car , or shot someone? The guy that gets caught with drugs, or the dealer? again from your own source Murder: 62% black 37% white. Robbery: 71% black 28% white Drug possesion: 53% black 46% white Drug Traficking: 63% Black 37% white Weapons crimes: 62% black 37% white Whites do have more rape 64/35 and more aggravated assault 53/46 So it seems pretty clear to me anyway that if you have group "A" that is commiting a higher number of serious crimes than "B" that you will see more of "A" in jail. Again YOUR source: Table 2.11. Percent of convicted felons sentenced by State courts to jail or probation, by sex, race, and offense, 1994 Percent receiving designated sentence Most serious conviction offense All offenses: 28%White male, 18% Black male Violent offenses: 20% White Male, 13% Black male 28% is more than 18% 20% is more than 13% "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
-
Yes, but what LEVEL of violence? Me pushing a guy will get me convicted, but I will not serve any time. If I rob a guy at gun point I will serve time. statistics in themselves don't show really anything. Can you show me where two guys one white and one black with the same history and situation in life commited the SAME crime and got different punishments from the SAME judge? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

IF they only are observers, and STAY only observers whats the point? All they would have to do is say that its fishy and then who decides what is the final result? It is giving to much power to an organization that HAS political agendas in the US. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

The last election was monitored...by us. The UN "deciding" the election if they step in. They don't like the current administration since GWB called their BS... If the UN picks a Pres...It will be anyone but W...The Dems new slogan. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
-
From your own source. Percentage of Violent crime vs non violent crime. There were a greater number of blacks than whites convicted. The number of Drug convictions was almost 13 % higher for blacks than whites. Higher number of weapon crimes for black vs white. Property theft was higher with whites. Violent offenses, Murder, Drug trafficking, Robery, Drug possesion, and weapons charges. All higher % of Blacks. Whites had a higher % of Rape, aggravated assault, and "other" Property Crimes had a higher % of whites. So Violent vs non-violent...That might account for why more blacks serve time than whites...Its not needed to stop a guy from bouncing a bad check...Where as it is needed to keep a guy from killing someone. Most violent criminals and repeat offenders are black, followed by hispanic then white. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

I can do it....I have done it. But you must admit it was funny. Nope I agree...I would like the will of the people to decide who wins..I would also like once that person is elected that people quit bitching about how it was illegal when it clearly was not....I tell you what, you start defending the Election results when your lefty buddies say it was illeagal, And I'll gladly quit doing it. Now THATS funny ME attack someone for spelling or punctation? You know who you are typing to here? You don't have to bring it up...Your heros like Moore do it for you, and then you blindly follow him. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
