    Tiny compass

Always carry some rubber bands and a pull up cord with you. I put them in my JS and in the pocket on the rig. When you get a rig ask someone at the DZ to show you where to put the bands and pull up cord. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  2. An AAD is not a needed piece of equipment like some think. It is a nice thing to have as insurance to keep yourself alive if you do something stupid. Most fatalities/AAD fires are the fault of a stupid act. However they do allow you to survive a stupid act. The trick is to have one, but still not do stupid acts so you don't need it. 3. Yep. Jack the Ripper did not have a gun. Dahmer never used a gun. Albert Fish...Read up on that nut case....WOW! Never used a gun. John Wayne Gacey never used a gun.. Hillside Stranglers....no guns. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  4. Yes. Army 82nd Airborne Infantry. I was married. Then they get BAQ. It would hurt morale, and even do more damage to the US's image around the world. There are several things wrong with it....They have been covered. You choose not to accept them. But have you noticed that no one seems to be agreeing with you? And my opinion is less than yours for what reason? Where you Infantry as a primary MOS? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  5. Was the 45 miles away Memphis? If so that building is for sorting to over 100 Airports across the world, not deliveries. The facility is over 5 miles long, and has over 100 miles of sorting belts. Not that I would know "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  6. The hardest part for me was thinking maybe I could have done more, and he would not have died....Stupid thought, and I doubt an entire ER room would have made the difference...But you wonder. And then there were the calls from his family asking me about the accident and what I saw/felt/did. Then them thanking me... People wonder why I am such a saftey freak....Go through this once and you will understand. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  7. Who cares? If you like someone date them. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

    Flying a helicopter

Please tell my you are the guy flying, and not the guy with the big metal stick playing with the wires "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  9. Try doing CPR on a guy and watching him die. Or maybe help the forensic guys find the pieces. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

I would not do it. 1. Unless you are already giving memory to the rear piece already...why start now? The same thing could be done with comp box....But I can't think of anyone that does it. 2. The random bundy was built the way it was since it was the fastest. This random build will still be the fastest. 11. This could be interesting..... To bad I'm in sunny FL. Next trip down maybe we can get the "bar" version? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Shear it spinning forward. Front piece moves forward and tries to rotate counter clockwise where it cuts of degree of rotation. Rear piece shears like "21" used to and helps cut off the degree of turn. Right now I think the tail going over for a better target since the tail can move pretty well, and the compressed does not slide well while spinning. 15. See until we know how the judges are gonna score it its gonna be ugly. But the way I am thinking is nothing different than it is done now except who hops who. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  16. Well, here we go again evryones favorite time....Tax season. So how much is the average Tax prep fee and is there really a difference in who you use? Is Turbo Tax just as good? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  17. While it was illegal for black to learn to read and write...That does not mean that whites were learning. In the 1800's few few knew how to read and write. And yes those that did, were the well off. But poor blacks AND poor whites didn't know. It was wrong to not allow blacks to learn...IT was also over a hundred years ago. And while it was wrong, today all students have the same basic rights to education. And they have had that right since the 60's. I agree that everyone should be given an equal start. I say give them all an equal base and then the ones that have the talent, or the dedication to study like hell will achieve more...And good for them. Depends on the product. If my company was in advertising it would be in my best interest to have a diverse field of talented employees. I might hire an Asian woman since I might need to prevent my company from designing ads that only appeal to white males. However if my company was a pure engineering company I would try to hire the best choice...And race/back ground would not matter. A wise business person would try to have a balance and a diverse employee base. However, for the government to mandate it removes my right to balance the company as I see fit. It also means that I would have to reject good qualified people I may want since they don't fill my quotas. 18. Thats the problem I see...what is the limit? I think removing the penalties is a bad idea. As for 5....I would look at the IC going over the grips of the Point and OC....Kinda like 17 "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  19. UH, 60 grand a year is more than a homeboy on the block will make. Whats wrong with the best qualified canidate getting the bestter job? Like I said remove the color block on applications. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  20. Yes, but don't you think it should be the USPA's job to look for better ways to train students? Both SDCity and SDChicago have progressive programs. If I remember correctly, SDChicago had some issues with the USPA over its program. This was not some off the wall training program. The ISP was nothing more than documenting the steps most programs already did. It was not "un-proven". It also would have made some DZ's do more, not less. How would more training be bad? The USPA wanted the ISP manditory...The DZ's did not. The USPA backed down. Jumpers lost, DZ's won. 21. As long as the sub groups stay intact...yep. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  22. Do you think that it is fair? I mean if these two were not equal (based on the aptitude score). Why should the lesser qualified canidate be given the better position? See I would rather remove the color block from the applications. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Ya don't need one. It would be a waste of time. As Hooky said you would be better to be looking out for the others trying to kill you under canopy. As Aggie "D" said the Ground reference points and the sun are the best ways to tell where you are and where you need to go. As Sparkster said a compass is worthless unless you know where you are to start with. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  24. Really? I don't see the humor. I don't see Israel a threat to say Germany, or England or China, or...Well you get the point. Of course you don't, the President could be saving kittens from a burning tree and you would yell at him for the polution the burning tree was putting out. You think the UN is being honest with you....That I don't agree with. Right. Until you attack the US again. So I guess we now wait for you next Anit-American post. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
  25. I see a neat way to do "5" Edit...I don't like the busts going away. And the 3 point penlty for omitting...I see problems. A team could "try" and build it, but "bust" it and move on with only one point lost. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
