Peep who called who Illiterate: He also claim to know more about Government Contracts than a guy who's job it is to deal with them daily. Thats funny. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

I found it funny. I think thats part of the Anit-US thing...Everyone wants to see the big guy fall and is quick to point out any failures...Even if they have to make them up. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

10,000 to 37,000 thats quite a range. So by asking 1,000 homes you can find 10,000 to 37,000 *innocent* deaths...Thats 10-37 deaths per household. Also notice that whenever a serial Killer is found the neighbors all say "what a nice guy" he was? So you think those 10-37 deaths per household were all *innocent*? Wanna bet that if the US Army released numbers that they would be lower? Maybe..But how many were *innocent*? And never forget that if Saddam had complied or the UN done its job NO ONE would have died. And if the terrorists didn't blow up bombs all over the place...Some TARGETED AT CIVILIANS..then the death toll would have been lower. From SD Here he is saying anyone that does not agree with him has blinders on. Here he is saying ayone that does not agree with him is blind: Then he TWICE attacks my reading skills: You can look up most of his posts and they are anti US. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and talks like a duck....it is a duck. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

And that I agree with 100%. If you feel threatend you have the right to draw to defend.... Defend being the key word. Once the threat has ended I don't see a civilian having the right to continue the "contact". After they passed him HE became the agressor. Hence the aggravated assult charges. If he had let them go, he would have faced no charges. It was his "Johnny Hero" part where he tried to detain them that bit him in the ass. What would have been the harm to let them go and write the license number down? I want an armed citizen to act like he is not armed until there is a point where he MUST defend. Then after the situation is over I want them to revert back. By confronting these men he took a situation that was OVER and continued it. Ture but by detaining them he continued the situation much longer than needed. The SAME result could have been accomplished by calling the cops...Either way once he was no longer threatend, he had no business staying in the situation. It is not his job to perform law enforcement duties...If he does perform LEO duties he becomes a vigilante. I don't think he was a member of any group...I think he is a wanabe cop with a gun and saw a chance to play one in real life and become a hero. I have seen these type before. I think an armed Citizenry is a RIGHT. But that does not mean that we all should act like cops. I find that REALLY funny as well. Holy shit...Someone mark this day down. See since he never complied, then the invasion was justified. If he had complied, or the UN had made him comply then NO ONE would have died. Again I will list the faulty parties. 1. Saddam for having WMD's, and ignoring the Resolutions. 2. The UN for not making Saddam Comply. 3. The people who gave the intel that said he still had WMD's 4. The people who Interpreted the intel and verified it. 5. The people who acted on the bad intel. While I can place blame on acting on bad intel...Its only after the others are blamed. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

He is blaming the US for allowing a guy that he thinks is a crook to be VP. But he has never provided proof. And in this country you need proof, not just hearsay. And like someone else pointed out if there was anything the Dems would have been all over it. Then he has some crazy idea that its the VP's fault if a company he had ties to gets speciall treatment EVEN IF THE VP HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. Of couse he did claim the VP did have something to do with it right up until asked to provide proof, then he comes up with a crazy theory that it happend and it was the VPs fault..EVEN THOUGH HE DID NOT DO ANYTHING. Then he claims that a guy whos job it is to deal with Government Contracts does not know what he is talking about. There is a guy that has no idea what he is talkinga bout...And that guy is the one making accusations he can't back up and saying that a guy that does something for a living does not know what he is talking about...Oh and staying the course of his Anti American retoric. Gee it seems strange you say that since all your posts seem to slam the US. See you claim that pressure can be apllied without knowledge...The same can be said of hatred. You said EXACTLY that, and then attacked anyone that didn't agree with you. My reading is just fine, your writting needs work. Also you could use a new subject...You have over done Anti American ramble. Quote "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Constantly searching for ways to slam the US must get really old. I mean even Moore took a break. You wanna talk about illiterate? How about explaining this: "With the seniority of a VP, those recommendations can even be in place without being voiced. " So its his fault if HE DID NOTHING. Typical "Blame the US" crap from you. You hatred and desire to slam the Us is also quite funny. Trying to make up for something you lack? Oh, so the people who KNOW MORE THAN YOU. Don't know enough? Your hatred is quite funny and sad at the same time. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

No he never complied. I know thats hard for you to admit...But he never did. Since he never complied, the UN did not accomplish anything. We still don't know what he did with them which was the whole point. So the UN still did nothing. Sorry to burst your bubble. I thought about this the other day some. Anyone here SCUBA dive? At one time I was solid enough, that I didn't need to wear a weightbelt to SCUBA dive. So you CAN dive without one. But why is it OK to wear one to SCUBA dive to help a physics problem, but not OK to have a Skydiving student wear weights to help the same type of Physics problem? I am not saying that an Instructor should not try to adapt to the student first...That means not being lazy and making the student wear weights so you can jump your favorite suit. But if you have already put them into a good suit, and you have your biggest on...Why not add weight to make it even safer? Especially if that student will have to wear weights once off student status anyway. Why make them arch so much that it is the only thing they can focus on? No one performs well at the extremes of their ranges. Now, I still say that an Instructor that makes a student wear weights so they can be lazy is a bad thing. But if you really have a light butt student...I don't see the problem. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

I flunked AFF Level 2 jump... Has this happened to others?
Ron replied to Mockingbird's topic in Safety and Training
Again, if you are able to type this, you did not fail....No one cares, its not the end of the world, or even a big deal. Why you didn't pull? Well during sensory overload, a dive that had a variable that was not drilled came up. Normal. I had a student once...He had passed his pull altitude so I gave him a pull signal by pointing at him....He pointed back at me like "No, you da man!!!!" As I moved at him to dump him out...He got the clue and pulled. Relax....Not everyone passes every level the first time...I know an AFF I that did like 4 level 3's. I know another AFF I that hit a plane under canopy. We all make mistakes...As long as they are not fatal, and you learn form them, no one really cares. This was a poor excuse for a guy to detain people. This guy played hero. If you were really afraid for your life you would draw, but not try to detain them. Me, I'd draw, keep it out and let them get the hell away from me. Anything else is playing hero. It was not his job to detain them. Not his responsibility, not his duty. His right to draw ended when they were no longer a threat. People like this give people who carry a bad name. Then the fuckwit forigener is a fuckwit. But several were WAY to quick to jump on him and Americans in general (as normal) without any facts other than one person account of a video they only saw part of. Also, the person who posted this who only saw PART of the video has no Law enforcement or Military training. So we have people who are making a judgement off of one person, who has no training at all in this type of situation, that only saw part of a video. And they are quick to claim that Americans are massacring innocnet people. First off this statement other than just being inflamatory: 1. He assumes that they are Americans. 2. He assumes that they were unarmed. 3. He assumes they were innocent. If this is a case of some jackass taking pot shots at *innocent* people...thne they should crush his nuts. But there is little to no evidence to support that, but that does not stop him from making the claim. Its just like that video that was on here a few years ago about the Helicopter taking down some "Farmers". What people failed to know was that these "Farmers" were arms dealers. But the video sure made the US look bad, unless you knew the whole story. Same here, but it never stops the haters from jumping on the bandwagon anyway. I find it funny that without seeing the video you assume they were killing innocent people. Cool thing about the US is you are innocent till proven guilty. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Your right, it is 72....I adjusted for inflation I think Dave has a better idea, 100 Bi sexual College chicks...Who wants virgins? You have to teach them. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

I was taking offense there for a second. Could I have been THAT forgetable? They are only doing what they think is best for you....I find it funny they will not let you use weights when they are low on you. The most important thing to do is get the damn license and then do what you think is best. You still have a jump ticket for Zhills "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Most cases I'd say no. Anytime you can capture a combatant it is a good idea to do it for the intel. But most times these folks would rather die and get 100 Virgins. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

I flunked AFF Level 2 jump... Has this happened to others?
Ron replied to Mockingbird's topic in Safety and Training
Thats my point...No one knows, cause no one really cares. If you REALLY want to know do a search on here. But its not that big of a deal how many it takes once you have a license. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334 -
You "sort of" recall correctly. If I am in a fire fight and a guy that was just shooting at me with an AK-47 but dropped it starts reaching for something...Yeah, I'd shoot him. But if some guy was just waltzing down the street reached for something you have to identify a threat (which he may have just done), define the threat (Is he reaching for a gun, or a cell phone?), then handle the threat if it materializes. If a guy is doing nothing and reaches for a cell phone nothing will happen to him...But if he just shot a magazine of 7.76mm at me, then drops his gun to reach for a cell phone, he might just get popped. If a guy is running down the street without a weapon...Maybe he is just out for a jog. But if I just saw him detonate a bomb then go run...I'd shoot him. So you "sort of" recalled my comments correctly. That of course didn't stop you from misquoting them to your benefit. There is a BIG difference between a person who just blew an IED or just planted one, and a guy that *might* do something. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Short answer....Yes. Without a Pilots Operating Handbook. I can't give you a solid answer, but I am a Pilot, and did Weight and balance on large planes (DC-10's..ect) for a number of years. "Arm times Weight equals Moment." The farther away (Arm) from the Center of Gravity (COG or CG) the less weight it takes to effect the CG. It might work fine most of the time, but when the bad stuff happens an aft loaded CG makes things much worse. An AFT CG makes an engine out in a climb a BAD thing. Also the Average weight per the FAA for WB on LARGE aircraft to be 170 pounds. Now I am a kinda small guy and I weigh 163 pounds without gear..Add gear and I am 175-180 pounds. Also the FAA considers large AC over 12,500 pounds Max Takeoff Gross Weight...Anyone wanna guess what a TO weighs? Using 170 is a bad idea. 200 is more realistic when you factor in Tandems and student gear. PM Chris and ask him about this since he knows tons more than me about an Otter. A flat tax, or a flat rate? Either way I can see people bitching about either. Same with a National Sales Tax. I am in favor of a flat tax rate. Everyone pays the same rate, no deductions. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
