    tea..??

Talking about the french, anyone who has visited france knows that they make quite possibly the worst cup of tea in the world. I was on a french train a few years ago, one of the high speed ones that cost millions of bucks to build and they couldn't make a good cup of tea, just handed me a cup of warm water and a tea bag. You would of thought that after living next to use for so damn long they would have got the hang of it. Its 7am and I'm on my second cup of PG, almost ready to face the day.

    tea..??

Orally, out of a cup But seriously, earl grey is only just better than tap water, think of it as the bud light of tea. Trouble is over here in CA when I visit the locals they go and by earl grey cause they think I'll like it. That's the second mistake, do NOT put cream in tea, use fresh milk. Holy fuck , that is the third and worst mistake, you nuked the tea leaves, destroyed the taste by doing this, and for 10 mins, I'm suprised you managed to drink it. You need boiling water, and that does not include the hot tap on the coffee machine, and you should pour the water over the tea, add the milk (not cream) after it has finished brewing, if you stick the milk in before it has finished it cools it down and it doesn't brew properly. My girlfriend has been trying to figure this out for two years, with mixed success, and she has had expert instruction, so you'll need to give yourself time to get it right.

    tea..??

I moved to california two years ago and have to import my own PG tips, or buy it at huge expense locally, I tried lipton yellow label and twinnings english breakfast, but it was no good, you can't beat a good cup of PG. My American girlfriend still can't make it properly even after 2 years practice, proper tea making needs to be taught from a very early age. And yes all the Americans in my office over here thinks I'm a little crazy about it. The fruity stuff, yuck, filthy, doesn't deserve to be called tea. I mean why would you want to put dried pear and apple leaves in a cup of hot water and drink it, it taste terrible.
  6. These xeon processors kick some serious ass
  7. Which five currencies? Can you give the conversion rates you want to use? How do you want to enter the dollar amount?
  8. Can you answer the following? Which O/S is this for. Do you want this to be a command line program or a GUI (windows) program. Do you want to review the design before the code is written. Simon
  9. You can do better that that, I jumped a spectre 150 loaded at 1.1 for my first 650 jumps, I could fairly reliably do 270s and get 100-150' swoops out of it on a no-wind day. Along the way I hit the ground hard twice, only hurt my ego and we were able to laugh at the video, if I'd been jumping something a bit smaller who knows what would have happened. When learning to swoop you will fuck up on occation, the only questions are how much will it hurt and will you walk away from it, I think canopy size makes a difference to the answer.
  10. Hmm, I'd have to agree, not fair but more of an amber color, and they came in imperial sizes as well.
  11. You have raised a deep philisopical question, well beyond my abilities to discuss considering the two fat tires I just consumed.
  12. Ah yes, the fridge, how could I forget, even rainy days end well with the fridge. Our fridge, who art at the DZ, Full be thy shelves...
  13. I'll help you. Next time you are at the DZ, give me all your beer, I'll drink it for you so you don't have to. I'll put my liver on the line just to save yours.
  14. I know a country where people didn't ever used to disagree with the government, everyone always agreed with eachother, it was utopia. It was called Iraq. Is that how you would want America to be? People afraid to express their feeling because of fear of persecution. The ability for people to express their feelings freely and safely is part of what America is, you shouldn't knock people for doing it or try to raise public feeling against them because you don't like what they have to say. If someone does not support the war just leave it at that, there is no need to verbally abuse them because of it, because in the end the verbal abuse becomes physical and then we are no longer free.
  15. What gives with this crappy weather. I live in california, it is the middle of april, and it is raining so hard I need a submarine to get to altitude
  16. The coverage is poor Media reports about skydiving are generally inaccurate and sensationalised. Have a look in incidents section where news stories are frequently posted if you want examples of this. Reporters use skydiving incidents as a way to sell their product, just look at what they did to Kapowsin on the TV a few weeks ago.
  17. Wow, what a reply. Are you saying that society is fucked up, that we are being brainwashed to behave in ways that are alien to our basic animal instincts? The ability to reason, and the ability to use that reason to change our instinctive behaviour is what makes us humans different from all the other animals, you could even argue that if we did not use this ability we suppressing our true instincts, this would be against nature. Tribes have not gone away, they have got way bigger, they are called nations, special interest groups, communities, dz.commers, we tend to drift from one to another and most of us belong to more than one, they give us a sense of belonging. We may not hunt for food any more, but we still hunt for other things, money being the foremost. We still act very much like we are told we did when we were still living in trees, (if you believe the historians and anthropolists), it's just that we have different tools to do them with. Why did I bother with this?? Anyway I'm off to find my female and dominate her for the rest of the evening , and in the morning I will go to work and resume bugslaying.
  18. Way too deep this early in the morning. Do all the folks in Maryland talk like that, i'll have to go back to college to figure out what you mean

    weekend numbers?

-22:1:1:3:0:8 -22 degrees celsius at 15K brrr. 1 whining spotter who didn't want to look cause it was too cold. (we don't have GPS) 1 really bad spot a mile downwind of the DZ over the hills, watched my buddy flaring on a downhill slope, thank god the ground was soft from all the rain, he only left a dent in the dirt. 3 kick-ass freeflyjumps with my gf and drew. 0 beer owed, but the whining spotter did a beer run while we were on the last load and that made him cool again. 8 drunk skydivers playing football after jumping. a very fun sunday
  20. Happened to me on AFF level 5. The AFF instructor grabbed a student rig with a 210 F1-11 in. Turned out that an experienced jumper had borrowed it before me and put his stilletto 150 in. The instructor didn't spot it even though she was talking me down on the radio, the packer was the one who ended up noticing it. The instructor wrote in my log book that I overshot the landing area and needed to work on my accuracy, but no mention of the wrong canopy. Everyone had a good laugh about it afterwards.
  21. Not this time, but he did use the brush of shame after a long downwinder.
  22. Not on that jump. Infact not on sunday, saturday however... We had a question about the beer line. if you cross it twice in the same day do you owe twice?
  23. premiere to capture, then export the frames from the movie. Can you recomend deinterlace filter software?
  24. Can't forget the 2K jump. Jim's 2000's as seen from a sit. And the colors on the jump suit in the middle are not a trick of the light, it's real, but the other jumpers are so good it did not put them off.
  25. this are what some of the rest of us did, it's not as cool as sebazz, but we had fun. Hyrid with Mark on nnmber 99 and Ken with Drew hanging. JR, Brian and Drew in a head down with Justin flying the King JR and Drew later in the dive.
