I do most of my jumps with my gf, and I do watch her deploy a lot of the time before I pull myself. I usually land before her and on gusty days I get nervous as she has had problems landing in these conditions in the past. I hate it when she jumps without me, I ask her to call me when she is done jumping for the day just to let me know all is good. She usually beats me up for doing stupid things on landing, she was very unimpressed by a 90 degree carve I had to do to avoid the fence a couple of weeks ago, but she does it cause she cares, and I end up feeling very guilty that I scared her. It's a kind of two way thing.

And we mustn't forget. Taking out the windsock on landing. Terrestrial Side Salmon crosswind landings. And landing in the tree on the other side of the road.

...two weeks ago. I sprained my ankle stepping in a hole in the LZ, not cool, and my gf took time out to drive me to get an x-ray just to check, luckly no broken bones. When we got back to the DZ she tried to get on a load, but it was full. The DZO heard about it and moved the tandem/student off the load so that she could get on. I've heard folks complain about this happening the other way around, so I just wanted to let everyone know one of the reasons that our DZ rocks. The DZO also offered me the use of any of the rental gear and his personal rig, for free, so I could jump again, figuring with a bad foot that a bigger canopy would help with the landings, although I didn't take up the offer it was really great.

the way they got around this kind of limit on yahoo and hotmail was to write a script to create loads of accounts and send the max on each acount. maybe you could add an activation period, so they cannot send e-mail for a few days after joining that way you caould spot the bad guys before they start sending.

Well, it wasn't so much "Who *had* to chop"... it was kinda done on his behalf by somebody else... the anvil landed under his reserve with his main in his container, it was chopped prior to deployment, as to "who" actual chopped it, well we'll leave that until it is posted in the incidents forum as it seems to be a sensitive subject.

1:10:2 1 sprained ankle 10 fun jumps 2 cases of beer owing for 2 beer line violations Record saturday at the DZ, over 260 skydives from the KA. Sunday in the plane, the smell was bad, hazardous fumes from some of the worst farts on record.
