    TM elbow

I have the same problem. except I always called it set400itis. Mine would get so bad that I couldn't bend my elbow. I take a few advil liquigels in the morning and everything fine all day.
  3. Everyone is forgetting that its not about the screw being strong enough. All the quick release's work the same. 2 metal parts that lock together with other metal parts. I can see any opening being bad enough to break metal in half. The weakest link will ALWAYS break first. That would be the inside the camera itself where the metal meets plastic, or the paper thin carbon fiber/plastic that its attached on top of your helmet. In other words, the whole top of the helmet would break off before the screw would. Same goes for your neck, I think your neck would break before metal. Thats why we use nylon screws for our ringsights. Because if we get a line around it, it would simply break off. I use a strap on top - to keep the screen from coming open in freefall and getting ripped off *** Thats certainly one way to do it, but I have found it much easier to just wrap a small rubberband around the camera instead of drilling extra holes and having a plastic buckle scratch up my cam.
  4. I jumped the same setup for a while. Rebel xt with a 10-22 on a rawa. I agree that the metal screw is plenty fine. I had a stroboframe but all the quick releases are the same. The are all attached by the same metal screw. I actually find it kinda funny when people use the metal screw and then out somekind of strap on top for extra security. If the screw doesn't hold it, the little strap sure insn't
  5. Might be better to replace/modify the plastic stiffner inside the riser cover.
  6. make sure its not your camera box showing up also
  7. I was looking at the specs on sony.com and it says dual record 2. Can you finally take a still and record at the same time without getting a skip in the video?
  8. I really like my cookie composites glove
  9. thats why I also use a cookie glove. Mine has a clear piece in front of the red light on my camera. So no need for a cameye.
  10. i use the cookie composites .25 it works great
  11. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/classifieds/detail_page.cgi?ID=55405;d=1 this would work great!
  12. I have used a couple of these and they work great. http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-STROBOFRAME-AUTO-QUICK-RELEASE-BASE-PLATE-300-QRC_W0QQitemZ300159487767QQihZ020QQcategoryZ64354QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  13. why not eliminate the buckle and just have a solid strap?
  14. heres my thinking.. Now matter how you secure it, the seatbelt, nylon strap, or just wearing it, the plastic ratchet strap buckles on the chin cups of most helmets are probably the weakest part. I know the nlon strap your using and it also has a plastic buckle. Now, i think the plastic buckles/ratchet strap addapters are plenty strong enough for the intedned purposes, but I still see that being the weakest part. But obviously on a FTP you can go through the chin peice and there is no buckle there. Mabey find and old seatbelt, take the metal buckels off and just sew it closed into a big loop and see if that would work.
  15. whats a good lens for my rebel xt for taking good landing shots. I was looking at the canon 75-300mm USM, but dont really know. How are the sigma zoom lenses. I was also looking at their 70-200 APO DG lens.
  16. well, I'm 6'6", 200 lbs so I dont really have a problem with the big guys, unless Im going out or a 182 or something (which I have done several times). I have taken several 250lbs guys and we get $2 a pound for anyone over 220. Throw in a handycam, and we end up getting paid pretty good. But flying those big guys around under canopy I am certainly earning my money.
  17. there is nothing that says you cant check your own reserve. You just cant pack it. Next time you go for a repack, pop it out and check it, then leave it to be packed. And if your still worried, find someone that will let you watch them pack it.
  18. I don't necessarly always want my stills and video to look the same. Sometimes I will use a .5 video lens and the set my stills to 10mm, or a fisheye video lens and zoom my still into 20mm. Lots of the poeple I have video's like the difference. Its almost like they are getting 2 different angles of their jump. When you sight them the same, you just end up with a copy of your video in still pictures.
  19. I just got my new cookie helmet about a week ago and the finish quality is great. Defenatly worth the price compared to the other avaliable.
  20. i use a pc109, cookie glove and lens
  21. I was thinking about getting a stamp made and using it with some of the blank printable discs.
  22. and I use the cheaper Imation brand DVD+R's with mine. Never had one that wouldn't play
  23. I would get another liteon. Mine finalizes in about 30 seconds
  24. you should be able to get them through most online gear stores.
  25. thats something I want to know also.. I am about to get a flash and was wondering if I have to mount it in the same orientation as my camera.
