http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx if you have winxp a lil more than half way down on the right

i would like to see a rawa with a flash as well, ive been thinking about adding one to mine
-
i use the stock lens that came with my rebel
-
On average, how many still pictures are you taking during a normal tandem video jump? And also what camera are you using. ?
-
they are really cheap on ebay
-
i would check on ebay before sending it off, or at least check the cost of both. I have a PC101 as well and have never had problems with it. But it being a fairly old camera, might be able to pick up a used one for less than repairing that one
-
yea, i like it because i can copy the pictures to the computer, show the student a full screen slideshow, and burn the cd all using the same program. It also has basic editing features like crop, resize, and brghtness controls. That and it has a great interface for finding certain pictures. I have almost 8gigs of pictures and no slow downs either..

picasa is what i use, super simple and fast

im pretty sure its for keeping the video right side up when your head down. Remeber, not everyone has access/the ability to flip the video back over on the ground. I think thats easier than turning you TV upside down!
-
i think hes talking about the rawa helmets that allow you to place you camera upside down in your helmet so that when you are flying head down, the video is right side up. ex. you are flying head down with some sit flyers

Still camera mount-quick release bracket
Dokeman replied to goobersnuftda's topic in Photography and Video
ebay is your friend for a stroboframe. I got mine for about $40 -
by closing one eye, i meant i have both open about 99% of the time... not something i do on every jump or anything
-
I see mostly right eye sights, but i havent seens a lot of cam setups. I keep both eyes open when flying mine most of the time anyways though..
-
nope.. lines up great.. but the only thing is that i am using the original kit lens that came with the camera and its not near as wide as the video lens, so i have to back up a little bit to get their entire body in frame. But thats not helmet realated though..
-
the quick release is nice if you need to change the battery/memory card in a hurry..
-
heres mine.. i can post more with my digital rebel on the helmet if you want..
-
yea... both of the red plastic thingies on mine broke. actually, one was broken when i got it. I just ended up going to home depot and getting some alluminum and making some.. havent had a problem with it since.

my camera stuff is at the dz right now, i will post some pics when i get there tomorrow.. I never had the option for a top mounting plate either, but i just picked up one of these.. http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-STROBOFRAME-AUTO-QUICK-RELEASE-BASE-PLATE-300-QRC_W0QQitemZ7557169329QQcategoryZ64354QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I have a rawa and when you order it, you should have an option to choose which camera you have because they are not 1 size fits all. And I have a digital rebel mounted on the top of mine. I can post a picture if you would like.

I have a contact in Hollywood, for Spike TV
Dokeman replied to frequentflyer's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
lots of times they do make it look dangerous, I wouldn't really say it makes it look bad. We've all seen the wuffo comentary where the guy dosent really know what hes talking about also. But at the same time, I have seen videos of world record stuff, celebrity skydives, and general main parachute malfunctions where they land under a good reserve. Videos where nothing bad has happened. Stuff like that is amazing to wuffos as well. A main malfunction is an often occurrence at a lot of DZ's, and not really a big deal to most. But to a wuffo, its "OMFG.. his chute didnt open!!" -
yea... its a pretty aggressive canopy.. more than a stilleto. More than you probably want at 85 jumps.
-
i have about 150 jumps on mine, and like it alot. I have never jumped a sabre 2 so I cant really compare the 2, but I would imagine it to be a lot more aggressive since the rage is a fully elliptical, higher performance canopy. The only thing that I can compare it to is a heatwave, which i had before the rage. It is a lot more ground hungary ad dives alot more. It also opens really nice. It has good flare, but like i said, i have never jumped a sabre 2 to compare.

i was in the same boat as you about not wanting to break the bank. i got a digital rebel and have had great results with it. should be able to get one for $500 - $600 bucks somewhere. But there are better/more expensive options abliable... i guess that depends on what breaking the bank is to ya. whats your budget?
