If you have a dealer nearby, see if they've got some you can try; it's very much a preference thing. I got them on my V3m and I like 'em. The Icon looked like a pretty nice system. I've got a brand-new Vector3 so I'm not in the market, but it looks like a solid choice. Like others have said, I don't think you can go too wrong with the top-tier manufacturers, it comes down to preference. As for the Pilot, I've heard good things. My demo on the pilot didn't go so well, but the canopy was out of trim and had over-long brake lines, so it wasn't a fair test. I will probably demo another Pilot when I'm closer to getting a new canopy. It's hard to land in no wind; it takes quite a bit of practice to get right. Stick with it! Let me know when you'll be out next time, and I'll try to meet you out there - I can video your landings for you, if nothing else. 5ish jumping days, 13 jumps. Not bad for me, but I'm lazy. Met a lot of very cool people, and met up with some cool people I had met before. Got a few really good hybrids, three tube jumps (1x3, 2x3, and 3x3) and did a 9-way magic carpet for my 100th jump. Oh, and they neglected to pie me for it. I bought beer anyway. Good for you! Be careful out there, Gravity's a bitch. Personally, I iike flying my 220 sqft AirYacht, and I get nice slow landings, and I can sink the thing into an egg-cup if required.
