  1. I've got some good pics on my site of you at Eloy... Although they may not be sufficiently flattering. If you'd like to pose with a ball gag, I'm sure we could find a few girls willing to work the camera for you. http://www.networkavatar.com/pictures/eloy03/ 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth
  2. No question at all: Monorail! "And while I'm here, How much for that statue of justice in the lobby?" - Mr. Burns 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth
  3. Do you find it 'whistles' when in freefall or under canopy? I tried one of those out once and maybe it didn't fit right, but it whistled the whole time and drove me batty. I'm curious to see if they fixed that or if it was just my wierd head.. 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth
  4. D'ohh! I wish I'd known they were going to do that before clearing the log on my Neptune. Oh well, I like typing. 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth
  5. Yes, I did a control check. The canopy I was demoing was a very light wingloading (about 0.97:1). Like I said, I noticed the brake lines were long, but i did a half-dozen practice flares, and it felt like I could get a decent flare out of it. It turned fine, after you puiled the 8 inches of slack out of the lines. As it turns out, I was almost right. A good PLF made up the difference, and it was no big deal, except for the 20 minutes brushing dirt out of my rig. Like I said, it was out of spec but not uncontrollable. 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth
  6. I don't think a Gath helmet is going to help much. But it would probably provide good protection against having your ear ripped off by a riser, and it gives you a place to mount your audible. I think it falls squarely in the 'better than nothing' category, but I would prefer something a little harder. No skydiving helmet will protect you in a 30-mph collision, although a protec would probably help the most (so long as you didn't hit face-first) 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth
  7. Your freudian slip is showing. Now, I'm off to get some Red Bull, which I switch to instead of coffee between noon and 6pm (after 6pm I stick to espresso). 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth
  8. Something about air pressure and the doors opening inward. Besides, I don't think a side-exit in front of a jet intake at 500mph is a survivable way to leave the plane. 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth
  9. He was wrong about caffeine, it's a well-known appetite supressant, like most stimulants. However, Aspartame is nasty stuff, and it's not really fit for human consumption, IMHO. Studies have linked it with all kinds of nastiness from migraines to formaldehyde toxicity. Personally, I won't touch the stuff with a 3.4 meter pole. What's so bad about good old fashioned sugar? The 18 calories per teaspoon isn't going to kill you, I promise. 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth
  10. Yep, I did. 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth
  11. I'll be there Saturday to sneak a few jumps in, but can only stay the day.. 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth
  12. Thanks for the advice, all. I think I'll give FCEv2 a try... Since I'm lucky enough to have a G4 to use it with. :-) FYI, G4 upgrade cards are getting fairly cheap for most of the older powermac platforms, I've seen them as low as $150ish... 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth
  13. I've got a little one from BigAir - the Spitfire. Lots of fun, easy to learn and no spars to break. Well built, but pricey. You can get cheaper versions - they just don't last very long. 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth
  14. Kinda sad, really. He clearly has a problem, and the justice system seems to think that the best way to fix it is to keep arresting him, rather than getting him treatment. 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth
  15. Good deal. The Triathlon ROCKS as a first canopy. I love mine! Lucky SOB! 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth
  16. I've used [url http://www.autogeek.net/meg18clearpl.html]this[url] pretty successfully. But it scratches eventually, you just kinda live with that. You can get replacement lenses when it gets bad enough. 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth
  17. Looking at the feature list, it looks like if I'm only going to be working with DV for the foreseeable future, FCEv2 is going to do it for me very nicely, and I don't need to spend the extra money on FCP. Is there anything you wiser folks can think of that I'd really need in the Pro version that would justify spending the extra money for?? TIA 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth
  18. Ditto, thanks guys. It was really helpful for those of us who are still very much just aspiring camera jockies too. You guys totally rock! 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth
  19. No, that was a cut-and-paste. Wow, they work fast. From the web site: 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth
  20. It was brand new from the factory, and the brake lines were set WAAAY too long. It didn't even respond to input until my hands were below my shoulders. As you can imagine, the flare didn't go as well as originally planned. A well-timed PLF prevented any injury, although I did spend a good hour brushing the desert out of my rig. In any case, I don't hold it against the design of the canopy. 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth
  21. Mines only a few weeks old, and it still has the larger hand ring. Although I was seriously considering improvising a replacement - it'd be easy to do with some surgical tubing and a little glue. 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth
  22. It's just the basic Apple Early-Adopter-Tax. Wait 3 months and the price will plummet, and they'll have the 2nd Generation units out with different capacities and better features. Happens EVERY time with Apple products. 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth
  23. Remind me never to ask you to do a hybrid jump with me (except as outside video, of course) 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth
  24. Getting unstable and hitting the wall head first would suck, I think. You'd have to be pretty damn careful about body position to pull it off. But I'm sure it's been done. 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth
  25. Well, at least you didn't say that in Eloy, or you'd have been in real trouble! 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth
