That's hard to do with $7. I know the dollar will buy a lot of things, but seven of them will only buy two dollars as long as you tip your server.

Men and Woman does your partners past matter to you?
Spizzzarko replied to Darius11's topic in The Bonfire
No. You can never change the past. It's only the present that matters, and the future is unknown. -
That's what I was wondering about too, but it's not all about the money! I used to think it was all about the money until I won my first swoop comp for money. I won $7 at a swoop club for first place at Eloy in the intermediate division one weekend. Then I learned there is much more to it than just the money. After the comp I took my $7 plus $2 of my own and went and dried off and bought two beers plus tip at the bentprop saloon. Those frosty Sam Adams never tasted so good.

you just gained alot of respect from me, be a leader not a follower...... and if that is the attitude your takeing, you can look at me on the podium next to ya! Thanks. although you might have to sit on ians shoulders to see me up on the 1st place stand. it is a long way down to 2nd and 3rd! OH SNAP!!! By the way have you seen the announcement of the schedule for the cpc nats. It's out on jims website on the main page under the news and announcements. There is also an announcement saying that the pro competitors will beable to compete in the CPC Nats. I'm just waiting for clarification on weather we will be directly competing with the pro's or if there will be seperate classes. Here's the actual announcement: The Pro Tour and the Canopy Piloting Circuit have announced they will allow all "Pro" Pilots who are qualified with the PST to attend the "GOFAST! CHALLENGE" events surrounding the CPC Championships scheduled for September in Denver, Colorado. The top five finishers of each district in the CPC "S-class" will get a invite to compete for the title of CPC Champion. The total cash purse for the competition is $18,000 Grant By the way Ian, I saw your signature line. I changed mine accordingly.

I really do hope you win. Having a lot of little things wrong with your car almost sucks worse than having one major thing wrong with it.
-
Let's just see what he has to offer in September. I'm going to take the moral high ground on this one, as I will be looking down at him in the audience from the winners podium!

most red-blooded American males who try to fix machinery without any actual training and only a vague sense of mechanics often end up buying more parts and possibly creating more damage before the pro gets called in Horse hockey... Men are born with a natural mechanical ability. It's one of the gifts from god that make men such wonderfull creatures! Take me for example... I can fix anything (my wife doesn't seem to think so), it may take a little longer than it would take a pro, but I just have this tallent.

Occupation: Home Husband Actually I got a job back in January. I don't do much but sit infront of two computers. It allows me to post whore quite a bit. Being un-employed was a little nicer though. By the way, are you coming out to Colorado to swoop in Sep? Don't let Ian and I take all your prize money.

I guess it's kind of like being in the PD ZONE like Ian. You have to be a member. -
That seems to be a reoccuring theme for most DZ's and people (Especially me) I wish I were in the ZONE like IAN.

Swooping to air on NBC...
Spizzzarko replied to CanopyPiloting's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Nice... I tend to go for the non threatening male approach. I just act gay, and gain the girls trust. Next thing you know we are sharing underwear, and then I go for the boobs. It's a hard one to pull off, and it takes some time, but it's worth it in the end. hahahaaa -
I use the palm calendar, and not outlook, as I use msn for my e-mail, and I don't have outlook get my e-mail. Why is the treo more unpracticle?

I can't WAIT for the finals BRING IT!!!!!!!!! ZONE BOY!!!!!!! -
What about the TREO devices? I like the idea, of carying one device instead of two. I like the palm calendar and contacts setup, but I don't want to have to program it into two different devices. So it would be really cool to beable to have my calendar, phone, and contacts all in one. Would there be anyway to get my msn e-mail set directly to a treo? I'm pretty unfamiliar with the devices out there for all of this. Another thing I would like is to beable to access my e-mail when I travel. I don't travel that often, but it would be nice nine the less. So, info guru's, INFORM ME!

When you have a cross wind like that Start your swoop on the side of the pond that the wind is blowing from. Let the cross wind blow you over to the other side of the pond, so that you are not using as much of a canopy correction into the wind to stay in the pond. This will give you a little more distance. Hope this helps out.

I would call it stink weed.

I don't think it's Turning White People Black, but I do think that the "Moral Ultra Conservatives" such as this group and others like them are quite possibly getting close to going off the deep end. I understand that parents are wanting their children to "Attend" these camps, but it all boils down to the argument of "Are you born gay, or is it something that you develope like a habit?" If I had a child, and the child informed me that they were gay, I wouldn't care. The life lessons I would want my child to learn from me would be that God wants us to be happy, and to try not to harm each other. I would also want my child to know that what ever their lifestyle choice would be, to just stay away from the bad things out there. Maybe if mankind spent a little less time trying to assimilate each other into the likeness of their own, we could focus on some more important issues, such as AIDS, and cancer. Let's break it down a little more, and focus on issues such as poverty, education (or lack there of), and hunger. There are so many great things that mankind has to offer, and we are wasting our time on fighting over who's rendition of the bible is correct, and who is going to be condemned to an eternity in hell because they didn't interperit the bible like some other people did. Or how about arguing over wheather or not gays and straights can lead a happy and coexistant life, and if gay people need to be heterosexualised and retrained. What about cultures that feel women are sub beings? Each and everyone of us has something great to contribute to this world, wheather it be a scientific discovery, the cure for cancer, swooping longer than the rest of the general populous, or even just raising children to be tollerant of each other.

should I be afraid of psycho packing Spectre 170?
Spizzzarko replied to snafuhere's topic in Gear and Rigging
Pshyco packing is in essence just a different technique to get it into the bag. It may help out with the new slippery material, but I think it has a few more steps that you can possibly make mistakes with. I have about 700+ jumps on a spectre 170, and it opens slowly. I have packed it many different ways (flat, pro, trash, really trashy, one line stow, with the brakes set, with the brakes unset), and they all pretty much opened the same. The only big difference was when the brakes were unstowed. It opened much much slower. I don't recomend trying this unles you have mucho mucho experience. Just pack the canopy like you normally do, and you will be just fine. If you are having problems with it opening to slow, then adjust how you place you slider, or pull higher. There's nothing to be gained by skydiving close to the earth.
