What are your Skydiving Withdraw Symptoms

I can't help it I'm hung like a tuna can. It's the girth that gives the pleasure, right? -
What are your Skydiving Withdraw Symptoms
Spizzzarko replied to valcore's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Erections... Erections all the time. It can be rather embarassing some times. I'll be standing in front of a group of people giving a presentation, and next thing you know, I'm pointing out their short comings. -

Longest recovery arc: Safire1 or safire2?

What does IIRC mean? -
Maybe some of the old 425's or 421's, but they wouldn't beable to be resold very well. He could probably pick one up cheaply.
-
So by your reasoning, he should purchase a canopy that is way out of his class, just so he can have a better chance of resale? That's not a very good system for someone planning on staying in the sport for a long time.
-
Let's take a close look at this: "I have a junk 24' round canopy" and you want to put it into a single canopy container, and jump off a bridge with little control as to where you are going to land? That's a pretty stupid idea.
-
Cora, Just keep demoing canopies, and choose the one that fits you and your needs the best. Any jackass here on DZ.com can tell you what they recomend for you to jump. Just take a look at their jump numbers. There's nothing like a bunch of 100 jump wonders telling each other what to do. It's like the blind leading the blind.
-
For those of you who are recomending the tandem canopies, DONT. Those are some very aggressive canopies even at a 1 to 1 loading. Think before you type. The dude has 84 jumps. I have seen more 500 jump wonder tandem masters plow themselves and their passenger into the dirt than I have ever cared to. If you have no experience with a certain canopy then don't recomend it.

Longest recovery arc: Safire1 or safire2?
Spizzzarko replied to freeflydemon's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
"Safire-129 packs a lot larger than Stiletto-120. my Safire-129 flies 'larger' than 120'ish canopies" Uuummmm Deeyyaaaa.... 9 square feet of extra material dude. This may be a far out concept, but this is probably why it packs and fly's bigger. It may not seem like much, but it does make a difference. Besides, comparing a safire to a stilletto is like comparing a Saturn to a Subaru WRX sports car. -

Have you done a demo of your current reserve
Spizzzarko replied to DaMan's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Yes, after I cut away. It landed nicely. -
What can I say? I just have this uncanny ability to caption things! Just look at your avatar. "Only one more inch and all of theose Yoga lessons will have payed off!"

JEEZ, I can't believe this thread is still allive. I hadn't seen it in awhile, so I though it was dead. And what the hell is going on with all these damn chicks in the "Men's Only Forum"?

"My sonar is telling me something big is in my way..." "This is going to be a bitch to fly with..." "I gotta quit hanging upside down, as the blood always pools in my HEAD..." "Come to the bat cave and I'll show you mine if you show me yours..." "Let me POINT you in the right direction..." A conversation between a lady and an animal control officer: "Maam, as near as we can tell, this bat broke it's neck trying to suck it's own penis..." "Oh my, do you as an animal control officer see this very often?" "Maam, this is the closest we have ever seen one to succeding, and yes we get this kind of thing all the time. You have to watch out for these little horney buggers. Sometimes it's not guanno below their hidout."

Use KY or Astroglide... PSYCHE!!!! Just kidding use the teflon spray, and clean them about once a month. If you live in a desert enviroment, clean them even more. You don't need to have them dripping wet with lube. Wipe them down untill they are clean and dry. Clean them as if you were cleaning a gun.

I have seen this guy fly. It's definatly body position. As far as deciding to cut away... That decision is a very personal decision, that Dan has to make, and you guy's arguing over the internet weather or not he should have thought about cutting away is stupid. We all hit the reset button (pulling the cut away handle) when we have hit our limit for dealing with a Main canopy problem. Some people do not, and sometimes they DIE! I don't want to se Dan DIE from a parachute malfunction. I would rather see him go from some new form of STD that is caused from having to much sex, and it's symptoms lie in dormancy untill he hit's the majic number or ejaculations, and then his head explodes with a fealing or extacy, and euphoria.

Have any of you ever used the neptune on the aforementioned chest pillow? I wear the neptune on my wrist, but sometimes it's hard for me to see, and it's not very accurate when I have a grip on a student (Doing AFF Main side I get 1,000' differential). I mainly use the neptune as a logbook, and I like the visual needle on the altimasters. I'm just wondering if wearing the neptune on the chest would give it any errors in it's data logging.

Most tandem students are not beautiful girls. They are usually smelly fat dudes, who don't listen to a damn thing you tell them. Tandems suck.

The final Colorado CPC will be held on the 13th of August. A judges meeting will be held at 8:00 am, followed by a competitors meeting at 8:30 am. Speaking of judges, I am looking for volunteers to help the judging of this event. If you are interested please send me a pm. Hey guy's and gal's, Do to family duties I cannot make it to the DZ this Saturday, but I will be up there on Sunday instead. Like I said earlier, I will discuss things with Frank, and make the best decision for everyone involved. I understand that the comp has been planned for Saturday the 13th, and I will try my best to hold it then, but I have to secure judges. I will take everyones wishes, wants, hopes and dreams into account when making the decision on Sunday. So make sure you get with me on Sunday while I'm there at the DZ, and give me your excuses.
