  1. Dude, They sure are getting quite a bit of work done out there at Mile Hi. It seems as if some major projects are just coming together all at once. I was over looking at the plane a couple of weeks back, and it looked to be a rather extensive rebuild process. Those A&P's have jobbed out if they are getting ready for an FCF (Functional Check Flight).
  2. Your attitude is complacent and dangerous. You may have gotten away with it once, and you may get away with it again, but adding risk to something that is already dangerous enough is asking for an incident down the road. Incidents are usually described as having several causal factors, and they all lead up to the incident. Also what example are you setting for those who have less experience than you?
  3. If you need to ask "Why" then you really need to sit down and think about doing such things, and calculate the risks versus the rewards. I think most people of sound judgement would tell you that the risks outweight the rewards by far. You are not only endangering yourself under the canopy, but you are putting the other dude at risk when he or she is holding on to you.
  4. The USAF Academy uses them on the first load of the day, and after a weather hold. Interperating WDI info properly can lead to a good amount of knowledge of what the winds are doing. It's a lost art, but it is very helpfull, that's for sure. I have scene that hot air baloon dudes release a small party balloon into the air to see what the winds are doing. That could be helpfull too, but it won't tell you if there is lift or sink out there.
  5. So did Dave get to be the first one to swoop it? I know that was his life long dream, and I hope he finds purpose in his life now if he indeed was the first one to swoop it. If not, I hope he's not bitter. By the way, I think Eric posted the best picture.
  6. Damn, Ryan looks like he's holding his breath before he even get's wet! The photo's of Jim will go well at his boogie on the 29-31st of February. And that Velo of yours looks good over the water. It looked like Justin didn't quite have enough umph to get over that berm. Grant
  7. I don't think he got any bonus points for his head down landing. Any pictures of Ryan?
  8. That Go Fast canopy sure looks good on the water there. I'm ready for mine to be photo'd on it. Grant
  9. Nor Cal is going to kick So Cals ASS! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- east coast is going to kick the west coast ass! And I'm going to Trump all of you!!!
  10. No you can NOT make a decent living. Think about health benefits. Oh yea there are none. How about the retirement? Not one of those either. If you get hurt, no money. If the weather is bad, no money. Do you really want to haul meat (be a tandem master) all your life? Skydiving is fun, but I just don't see how people make it their sole source of income. These people have a disease, as they let skydiving engulf their entire life. It's an addiction, and just like smoking you can quite it. So do yourself a favor, and go and get a college degree, or if you have one get another one, and don't let skydiving absorb you.
  11. Here are the final Ranking for the 2005 season of the Colorado Canopy Piloting Circuit. Thanks to all of the competitors for coming out this season and competing. I'm sure you all learned a bunch. I would like to extend a big thanks to all of the Judges who helped out this season. Without you, none of this could have happened. Also thanks to Mile Hi skydiving for hosting the Colorado CPC, and finally a great big thanks should go out to Jason Tolliver for all of his hard work behind the scenes. With out him, there would be no CPC here in Colorado. So the moment you have all been waiting for, the STANDINGS: 1. Dave Billings 2. Grant S. Adams 3. Jason Russell 4. Aubrey Cundall 5. Steve Armstrong 6. Eric Johnson 7. Jason Tolliver 8. Ryan Townsend 9. Keith Hansen 10. Chris Pope 11. Jim Harris Again thanks for the great times, and I look forward to competing with you all again next year, and hopefully we will see some new faces.
  12. The final Colorado Regional CPC was held this past weekend at Mile Hi Skydivingin Longmont, Colorado. Due to time constraints, only two rounds of distance, and zone accuracy were held. The weather was pleasant, with a few puffs of breeze every now and then. The first event was Distance, and it went off cleanly with exception to two competitors getting a vertical extension in the second round. The zona accuracy rounds went off with out a hitch, but a couple of competitors decided to swoop into the zero zone (namely me). I would like to thank Mile Hi Skydiving for allowing us to hold this event at their dropzone, the competitors for coming out and making it a good competition, and most of all I would like to thank the judges who helped us out. Without further ado, here are the results: 1. Jason Russell 2. Steve Armstrong 3. Aubrey Cundall (VE Distance round two) 4. Grant S. Adams 5. David Billings (VE Distance round two) 6. Eric Johnson (This is Bullshit!)
  13. Uh huh u hhuhuhhh You said Cock and Tails..... uhuhuhuhu huuhhuhhh
  14. I had an FX 104, and it opened great. I never got slammed on it.
  15. As for the weight, NONE will be allowed in standard class. One word: FUBAR I usually don't wear weight (Fat kids get no love), but it sucks for those who do.
  16. What exactly is a Sake Bomb? Oh BTW I held ALT and typed 130. It didn't do anything.
  17. Just a friendly reminder. The last Colorado Regional CPC will be held this Sunday the 21st, with Saturday as a practice day. We can always use volunteers for judging, and even though you may not beable to compete in the CPC Nationals, we would love to have more competitors. So if you want to learn a thing or two, and have a great time, come and compete. The Judges / Competitor brief will be held at 8:30 Sunday morning. Be there or be square!

  19. Here's to You!!! Suckin my dick.
  20. Dude, It would be a really tight fit with that 126 in there, and the pilot chute may not sit correctly on the jav. I don't know if you saw us packing my 113 into my RSK-1, and it was a pain in the penis. Just imagine a 126 in the piece. I don't know anything about mirages, ask Justin the tandem dude up there at Mile Hi. Grant
