  1. Dogs are better than children running around.
  2. I have heard that the darker colors in ZP do pack up fatter. I'm not sure about the sail properties though.
  3. My jvx packs up like a fat 135. It is all sail 89. I have heard about the canopy's staying cocooned but I never experienced that myself. I don't roll the tail much at all except about 1/2 a twist. I find that slider placement does more for the speed of openings than tail rolling. I have found tail rolling to be a factor in off headingness of the openings in my experience. Your mileage may very.
  4. I was un aware of that information. Sharp needles only then folks!
  5. No they make my ass look really nice! hahahaaaaa
  6. It is not bad at all. It is slightly faster than the Velo but not hard. I like more speed on opening as I get better opening than at subterminal. I really don't rool the tail much at all maybe 1/2 turn, but I quarter my slider really well. Don't pull your slider out much in front of the nose as you well get outer cell inflation before center cell inflation. It is weird but not hard. I have lost quite a bit of weight so I am selling my 89. If you know of any one interested send them my way as the price is more than fair. Grant
  7. I would think that a dull needle would do better in that aspect than a sharp one as a dull needle would seperate the weave instead of sewing through a carrier. This is purely subjective thought though.
  8. Not really. Search for "JVX sizing"
  9. I have found that the more I really concentrate and try to do something int he tunnel the harder it becomes. A lot of the time I will stop and take a deep breath realx for half a second and then try again with a clear mind. It helps me out to kind of reset if you will. Just relax and smile. It will come to you.
  10. "You are right Bill, of course you are. How myopic of me to disagree with you. " hahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
  11. looked like some broken A lines to me.
  12. What about you advertising for CSL? Feel the burn!
  13. OK I see now. But when you say base for the diamond, are you talking about the top person on the diamond or somewhere in the center of the formation. I understand that you want the centere to haul ass because you don't want the wings to overtake the formation but where exactly is the base on these formations?
  14. "jumpers should be in a head-high position when deploying the reserve (ideally.) Fortunately, the position you are in right after you cut away is head-high." True That!!! Then the spring PC only has to clear your bean instead of your butt and legs and feet.
  15. Hi, What's with the removable sliders? It is to my understanding that RDS sliders are not desireable for CRW. I am just starting out with CRW here in Colorado and am LOVING it! Grant
  16. another poor dude bites the dust.... {lifting a full cold beer towards the sky as a salute}
  17. Nope. Freefall sucks. That is what tunnels are for. The sky is for canopy flight.
  18. Cool man! I will start practicing my beer drinking now. I am looking forward to the comps as it should be a good time!
  19. Cool man! Are you still coming out in August?
  20. "if 'all the instructors' had to do it" It just re-enforces the point A lot of times the person who makes a mistake knows immediately afterward that they made a mistake. A gentle reminder is helpfull. The reason most of the swoopers here in Colorado see it is because we really don't go to the top so we see a lot of the up jumpers and student patterns. When I go to the top I do AFF or CRW. When doing AFF I land in the student area and when I do CRW we are landing way after everyone else.
  21. Save the swoopers.....save the world! hahahahaaaaaaaaaa
  22. Ususally it is the swoopers at my DZ that take care of the gross infractions of landing etiquette but we do it in an informative way instead of bashing them. Wow swoopers are part of the solution. Think about that there Bill Von.
  23. It was a good time! I think that the carving acc was a humbling experience for many and the dragging speed rounds provided a lot of people with 0's.
