I had the same problem with my PC5 when I hooked it up to my eMac for the first time. Believe it or not, it was a bad cable. I exchanged the 4pin to 6pin cable and things are jiving.

Very nice Mark! And from the news I don't make up dept., a small plane has crashed in Puyallup, killing 2 on board. No details other than this read. As much as it's bad juju to wish bad stuff on others, I hope Jeff "Prick" Dow is one of them. Otherwise, my condolenses.

I have a feeling it's the cable. At least I hope It even says so on iMovie's Help that the 4-pin connector is extrememly fragile

Just a PC5 that I have. I do have a Formac Studio DV. Connecting an old CCD-TR71 thru it and getting a picture in iMovie is no problem. No problem getting a picture from the PC5 if I connect it thru the Studio DV. It's connecting the PC5 directly via 1394 that I'm still havin problems.

Funny I'm having the same problem with my PC5. I'm connecting to my eMac using a 4pin to 6pin cable similar to this one from Sony. iMovie says the camera is not connected. Any ideas?
