  1. Thanks. I also had gotten "Post you are trying to access no longer exists" message yesterday. That kinda threw me off the trail.
  2. Hah, she seemed way to hot for that dork. Of course, I hear that about Vskydiver all the time.
  3. So I posted about putting up a pic of what cool stuff you've been doing. Now that post has disappeared. Did I piss someone off? Or does that just happen sometimes?
  4. Our recycle place is on the way to the DZ, so all glass, plastic, cans, paper, cardboard, motor oil, etc. goes there. I used to mess with $$$ for aluminum cans but not worth the hassle. No cash in my pocket but I don't have to pay to take it to the dump.
  5. Thanks for that. Like I said, I've never seen it in person. Sounds pretty dangerous, then, for a water landing, doesn't it? River guide is supposed to be a pretty fun job, kind of like taking people on tandems but you don't have big people sitting on you.
  6. I ain't never been there but that seems a little high of a rating for that stretch of the river, from what I've seen on videos.
  7. There's a place in Seattle, Ye Old Curiosity Shoppe, that has a mummified cowboy from the late 1800's, found in the desert, with a prominent bullet hole in his abdomen. Pretty obvious, even to an non expert, that firearms were involved. And yes, it's a pretty bizarre display.
  8. And the plants then generate neonicotinoids throughout their structure. I'm assuming that includes the parts we eat. . .
  9. I'm right in the middle of a Louis L'Amour novel set in that pass.
  10. Glad to have a Twin Otter pilot chime in. So. . . I know every Cessna I've jumped from uses them, Caravans included. If I remember correctly, the DH2 even uses a notch of flaps for climbing. Are you saying the Otter won't fly slower with flaps? You don't use them on jump run? I have to admit I watch the flaps on Cessnas but not on the Otter (bench seats in that plane make it difficult to look out the windows easily).
  11. 2 cylinder in-line? Not familiar with that one. What is it?
  12. Would you mind if I said you have nice form? My dad was a hard core golfer and he took me several times, but the bug never bit. He, to his credit, did make a tandem with me once, so we both tried each other's sport.
  13. Tempus Fugit. We've had video, what, 32+ years now? It's just gotten smaller and smaller.
  14. For something that said "Boeing" on the side, they didn't bounce too well.
  15. Not to beat a dead horse, but I'm sure you got some pretty good discounts off MSRP. You've been around long enough to know the game pretty well, I'm sure.
  16. There is a indoor pot farm 100 yds across the apron from our DZ in Shelton, WA. They converted a bunch of old hangars for indoor growing. Whole new meaning to "hangar flying". All joking aside, I'm not really into it, but I have a few chronic friends that can quit hiding it now. I like that.
  17. Hell, Vader, I'm in WA state. We don't have prescriptions, we have retail stores for it. Great time of year to visit the Pacific NW, ya know.
