    i think if you fly it different you might get a different effect. ive only tried it once, on one canopy, and i got a helicopter. it was fun, but kinda useless.

    good. jason wont steer you wrong, this guy works hard to better the sport of swooping. im blessed to have been able to attend a 10 day swooping event out there that i will not EVER forget. thanks jason.

    yes, you can get these guys to visit your dz. get in touch with someone from pd and ask, they will get you in touch with someone. it takes money to get them there, they do this for a living. money takes interest of other skydivers, pool the money to gather and you got it.

    built for a normall 120. i would think and 84 would go easy in it. same for a 90. a 96 might be getting tight. and a 103real tight. a 111, would be tough. but try it out and see what works.

    a velo will land just fine with straight in approaches at your wingloading. as im sure you already know. a velo is a fairly highly elliptical crossbraced canopy. the crossbracing making the wing more efficient through the airflow. it has a fairly high amount of bottom end lift for the size/wingload. i/e you can load a smaller one up and still have the lift of a larger canopy. it has the tendency to spin violently when there is line twist. it is a great canopy. im sure you like it.. with that being said, i think all canopies should be crossbraced. it is just plainly more efficient. but also quite a bit more costly to manufacture.

    What happens when you do it on a high-aspect ratio 9 cell though? try it, you will see. i think i've heard it called a helicopter before.

    try doing that, but opposite front than rear, pull them at the same time while you watch the canopy. if it doesnt do somthin cool, then pull your opposite toggle than front riser at same time. edit to add: make sure there is nobody, near you, or above you. or especially below you before you try this.

    michele im only replying this to you because i think you understand.. people, bipolar is a VERY serious brain disorder. aprox, 10-15% of bipolar peeps commit suicide. usually based upon a clouded judgment of reality itself. it has many levels, from psychic's, to psychotic's. it is very tough to deal with, im lucky to be one that it isnt too severe, but it is pretty bad. the cop, of course did the right thing. it is unfortunately just something the cop, and we as a people are going to have to expect. i can relate to this guy going off like this, i usually have a better grip on reality than this guy, but i can see it happening if someone allows it. it will happen again, the right thing was done. poor guy is dead, poor cop has to live with killing him. i congratulate the cop for doing his job and making a decision in a panic situation. the same one i probably would have made...

    compliment taken. thanks but im striving and finding ways so that i can do it again and keep it. unfortunately i KNOW i can get it and go farther than jay, im sure he could go farther yet again. but i want to smoke the current record. i know i can do it, and i know exactly how, i just need the funds. im willing to bet i can go 850 ft "if not 1000 ft" in those same conditions with the right funds. but the drawback of no sponsors is what holds me back, there are many benefits to not having sponsors. but there is one huge drawback, and that is money. i don't want gear, i want money. i know what it takes, i know how to get it, and i know i can. i just dont have the money.

    Shut up, you were awesome, you did great, dont be hard on yourself, you think im being hard on myself? not in the least sweetheart. that is the truth, i could have done alot better. wich actually kinda surprises the hell out of me, i have to see what i did wrong in order to do better next time. and that is the goal.
