  6. maybe you guys have seen this before, but i thought it was interesting, just stumbled on it today... http://www.johnandjanine.com/
  7. ha ha, supermodels... that was funny. anyway, rob, here's the info: http://www.cjaa.com/ although my info request didn't work in the automatic form. i emailed them, we'll see what happens...
  8. like i said before, it takes such little time to barrel roll... you don't lose focus at all, especially below you. even after the barrel roll, your last check is right below you as you're stable to wave off and deploy. And if you do see someone above you, you do have time to do something about it. even tracking 3 extra seconds can make a big difference. Also if you notice someone above you, you'd hope they see you below them in which case the higher person should deploy right away, and you, the lower person, can delay your deployment until you see their canopy inflate, knowing now you are clear. several jumpers here with a bit of experience do, why not try rolling? you know, everyone's doin it
  9. 0:0:0 but my kids took 3rd in the regional tournament, time well spent on a cloudy day. http://www.cincyclassics.com/13red.html
  10. avoid the situation altogether. it's very easy to barrel roll while in a track, and takes less than a second to roll, look, and keep rolling back over, flare out of your track and wave off.. you should always check your airspace every direction. besides, rolling is fun
  11. kudos to billo, i agree with his point of view. it's the same the other way around, you know for women with men. but yes, we are all crazy, just in many different ways. you gotta figure out that craziness which you like...
  12. welcome to dz.com rob
  13. hey iowejan, you're saving me some couch space in your trailor for part of Summerfest right? I mean, c'mon, the theme is "Spread the Love" right?
  14. it's size that matters, not age. just kidding! really. really, i'm kidding. seriously though, it's not the number on your ID, it's your mentality. i have found myself in the last 2 years dating men at least 6 years older than me and up to 14 years older. It's more for the fact that I seem to get along with them better than guys my own age. but that's not a rule... it just depends on each personality. although, they HAVE to skydive. that's a rule. (Eric - she's got you in check, man...)
  15. i'm proud to not be a dropzone whore 485jumps/194posts= 2.5
  16. i gotta agree with Chuck, he's a great coach, diver, organizer, cook and fucking hilarious... my scotty story... hmm... it's coming back to me now... i was a young jumper, on our dz's winter trip to Coolidge. we were all hanging out by the fire, and scotty was talking shit... i can't remember exactly what he said, something insulting or offensive, and i'm not easily offended, but i jokingly smacked him, and without a thought he hit me back so fast and so hard everyone went silent... we all had a good laugh about it the next day. oh yeah, and then scotty aranged with the balloon guy for a free jump for any naked woman, which he offered to me... so i thought, sure what the hell.... as i'm landing from the jump, there's scotty on his bike with his camera ready to chase my bare ass down no matter how far out i tried to hide.... you never know what he's up to.... funny as hell. i'm curious, of all the skydives and time at dropzones, if scotty remembers me... so, scotty? we certainly never forget meeting him. i'm sure i'll be feasting on his meals sometime soon...
  17. yeah, where's your mug so we can evaluate the potential...? and how much is she gonna charge $ ? my suggestion, Sun-In (about $4) for the highlights and Manic Panic for the FreeFly Colors (about $8).... trust me
  18. how funny. i was there all last week. got to see every monument and museum... but unfortunately had to keep 76 13-year-olds in line... then when we locked them in their rooms we hit the bars in georgetown... all in all it was a good trip
  19. i'll probably be there
  20. hey it's lew from ohio... i just wanted to say Congratulations on the dock!!! That is so awesome. see you guys soon!
  21. i have video of a couple golden knights flailing, including the captain spinning on his back on a jump with me from last year. think anyone would air that? it was really funny, convincing them to try to freefly, taking them out in a sit train and then letting go...

    Skysurf

not that i know of... there just aren't a lot of people who do it. SkyMonkeyOne used to do it a lot, he can answer questions. I've made 17 surf jumps, and a couple other people on here have made some surf jumps, so if you have a question, you're best bet would probably be to post it here.
  23. on a similar note, i accidentally typed in www.dropzoner.com the other day, and came accross a secure access website... so, Sang, any idea what's on it?
