nice way of putting it, zenister. as for me...i believe in good people, and i call myself atheist. i believe in something far more amazing, but i can't explain or name it. i do believe in karma. I believe if you do good and treat others fairly, than life will be good to you. but I strongly support everyone right to their own opinions and conclusions, given reasonable thought. That is, I respect everyone who has faith in whatever they choose, as long as they thought for themself to come to those beliefs. I do not respect those who just take on a religion like a heriditary trait, for which they have no other options. think for yourself, and I will highly respect you, like one of my 7th graders who believes in cows. http://www.exitshot.com

Yep, Sangiro has me chained to the desk in the dungeon, and he only unlocks it if I've been a very good girl. we know sangiro uses chains with you. i didn't know he called it his dungeon. not to hijack the thread... i can't keep up reading all these anyway. i'd never be a good moderator. but i will at least add something relevant: why can't we all just get along. have a nice day http://www.exitshot.com

that poor girl with an eating disorder has no idea how we're talking behind her back. but that's what you get if you post on hotornot. she should really pack on a few more, I don't think they make weight-belts big enough for her, she wouldn't be able to jump with us. http://www.exitshot.com

Yeah, that Billvon is the biggest flirt I've seen in a long time. And Crazythomas, I never thought I'd see a post like that come out of you. I'm glad that you've caught on to how things work around here. uh-hum, i know both you and bill flirt well on the forums, but i've seen your master flirting skills live. i'm just glad you know when to find a new target and yes, isn't it great to see the better approach from Thomas these days. _____________________________________________________ http://www.exitshot.com

my theory is that HH created this site for his own personal dating service. being the intelligent person that he is, he knew that this site would grow and attract skydivers, more importantly, female skydivers. He started the mugshots section so he could choose which beautiful female skydivers he could hit on, and he created PM's so he could privately hit on the chics, so that the chics wouldn't know he was hitting on a couple dozen of them at the same time. but we all appreciate this sevice, be it in finding love for Phree or just for a good distraction on rainy days. thanks HH, good luck in your search! http://www.exitshot.com

The point is that since homosexuals tend not to breed, natural selection should apply, if homosexuality is in the genes. I see your point. However many homosexuals do reproduce, some by social pressures of trying to be heterosexual, some by choice of in vitro fertilization or having a surrogate mother. If homosexuality is in the genes, the best way to let Natural Selection reduce the homosexual population would be to let all homosexuals come out without social pressure to reproduce and be heterosexual. Yet that would still not eliminate homosexuals ability to reproduce. without healthcare we could eliminate the poor population. http://www.exitshot.com

Thomas, are you trolling again? Or are you trying to decide who among us believes in a religion of sort? and you made a good point about Darwin, but homosexuals and heterosexuals are all homosapiens, the same species. So unless you kill your own children becuase they are homosexuals, Natural Selection does not apply. If you did, you'd be breaking another of your rules... Now, Thomas, would you still love your children if they were homosexuals? i have to back up narcimund here. why can't we all just get along. edit: i can't spell http://www.exitshot.com

Yeah, what she said. and if you're still not convinced, listen to CrazyThom... go back and read his posts from a few weeks ago. He speaks the truth. We're all a friendly bunch here, greenies included. (even though the greenies are just big flirts) So if you're picking a fight, go back to rec.land. 'course, this whole thread was probably a troll also. and for the person who asked what a troll was, basically, on the forums, a troll is when someone posts something just to start an argument or to get people's goat, to get something started. for example, a terribly blatent troll would be if i posted this: "Hi, i'm new to skydiving and i have 35 jumps. I just bought stilleto 109. could you explain to me how to hook turn?" that'd be too obvious though. peace, really, make love, not war http://www.exitshot.com

i'm not sure i'd call it showboating... i think it's more like cheap publicity, for which we are perpetuating with on this thread. i'll say no more http://www.exitshot.com

i'm not an instructor, but maybe your DZ will let you sit through another AFF first jump course, just to cover safety and malfunctions, and then you can do a coach jump/checkout dive. Ask the DZ Manager, or call the local DZ you want to go back to. welcome back! http://www.exitshot.com

i gotta agree with Nac on this one... been there. tried to give it another chance, a few months after the smoke cleared. I can forgive, but i cannot forget. despite wanting to try to rebuild, i was personally not able to, and i know we were not meant to be. things happen for a reason, i believe. i'm sure it's possible for some people to rebuild after that, but not me. sucks finding out the hard way. good luck to you. give yourself at least a month to get clear-headed and think about the situation. i know it is hard to think right after something like that. too many emotions battling... http://www.exitshot.com

yeah, stuff helps in freeing up your arms, so does clapping... but where are you in your headdown? I'm not that great, but I don't cork. I couldn't have tried to clap or pass objects until i was at least good enough to stay in the column. if you're solid and don't cork, that will help, if you're not quite there yet, maybe a little zoomy still sometimes, you might find an object too much of a distraction. just a thought, like i said though, i'm no expert. i love being upside down http://www.exitshot.com

really? we have a lot of xfire jumpers at my home dz and they've all been told to psychopack, and it works well. and i demoed xfires (129, 119, and 108) at the Richmond Boogie last year, Simon hooked them up, and i asked if i could jump each a handful of times... and I asked if i could Psychopack and he said Yes. So i did. oh well, haven't had a cutaway yet

Regularly available Elph's do not have a remote shutter release, but a friend of mine, Jason, modifies the Canon Elph for skydiving purposes with a bite switch or tongue switch. They are low profile and light for quick and cheap stills. You can check them out at http://skyelph.homestead.com/ http://www.exitshot.com

that's AWESOME!!! what an incredible thought, 300 people linked in the sky... even more amazing that those skydivers worked together and made it a reality. WOW http://www.exitshot.com

if you want something superlight, APS will work. If you want good quality, the ability to change lenses, cheaper film developing, etc, go SLR. Basically, APS is a gimmick created by Camera/Film companies to make processing/printing easier on them, and convince the general public they are getting "better" pictures by making it easier for the consumer. The film cartridge appears similar or slightly smaller in size, but trades some of that size for ease of use in the mechanisms in APS cameras that wind and unwind the film... Reality is, APS is worse becuase the actual negative size is smaller. 35mm film is 24mm x 35mm (840mm^2) and APS negatives measure 16.7mm x 25.1mm (419.17mm^2). Therefore, the 35mm film negative has twice the negative area. the actual film is available in APS and 35mm in the same type/quality of film. So you will get twice the quality in the same size print out of a 35mm negative vs. and APS print, without cropping. That's why wedding photographers use Medium Format (around 2.5 times the area of 35mm), in order to make enlargements, 8x10 or larger and have excellent quality. If you want quick, light and easy, go APS. if you plan on enlarging photos to 5x7 or larger, and have a good eye for quality, go 35mm. i've seen good stuff come out of both. (the "panoramic" setting is bogus too, on any 35mm camera, all panoramic does is crop of the top and bottom of the negative. The printers just print it larger. You're better off shooting a normal 35mm and enlarging to 8x10, then cropping by hand how you like...) lew
