I would say your response is rather short and way off the point, makes the assumption that you like drugs and condone its use. Stay with the facts, just say no to drugs. I don't think is a waste of money to enforce current legislation, neither to drink and driving either and all the efforts by law enforcement WORLDWIDE to ban the drug trade. And shows yours too. Thanks Kevin, but it is my opinion, that these same people expect this to happen while we sit down? Last I knew about Al-qaeda or whatever is called is spread in the whole world. It is unfortunate that these people are not PW otherwise they should have been able to be tracked down a lot more easier. They are still working in Afghanistan, and Iraq as we speak, but hell nowadays wars that last over 1 week are way too problematic, and rebuilding an entire nation, they expect that to happen within days. Aren't these people asking for too much in so little time? Given the fact that Saddam had 12 years to make up his mind, and do what he agreed upon, it seems fair to give the US the same amount of time to rebuild these 2 places. Justin, If you just want to believe what you are told, then fine. Franco was helped by Hitler first. Do you understand this? I can confirm every bit of information by my own family. 1936 when the spanish civil war started, Hitler was helping Franco in establishing a fascist state, it was a playground for him to see how tactics and armament devoloped would help him. He never inferred in governing Spain. As far as I have seen no history book has ever made any assumption on the conquer of Spain by Hitler. What unified them and made them strong was their embracing of fascism, and their willingness to help one another to conquer the world. I don’t also hear the fact that Japan was ever ruled, it was nicknamed the axis, of 3 nations, not one as you are trying to imply. Well, then I guess we need to go into deeper explanation in your case. Spain, under Franco, agreed to help hitler, but the only help Hitler got from Spain, was perhaps some funds, and volunteers from the military, from which they formed a famous at the time blue squadron (airplanes), and some military forces, from the army as well. A great uncle of mine, was a pilot and an officer on this squadron, and my family was separated, he was obviously on Franco's side, and my grandparents were in the "republicanos" ( no similarity to US). Yes, Franco did what he pleased, abused, killed etc, yet they did maintained indepence. They were never ruled by the Germans, and hence the sovereignty was intact. On Italy's side, it was Hitler that wanted to help Musolini, and for that he did provide them with infraestructure, military, and government, but yet, they would have remained sovereign. They thought alike and were amused by each other. So in terms of indepence, it would not be Italy nor spain speaking German nor adating by its rule, as did France, Holland, Austria, Holland, Hungary, Poland, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Rumania, czekoslovakia, and so on.... Christopher, I do agree with you on most part. The problem is that it seems that everyone is bitching now on the grounds americans are of less value, culturaly speaking. Well, let me remind you about facts. The fact is that Muslims were involved in hijacking planes, and crashing them into buildings. Killing innocents. At this point I could care less of the details on how they did it. They planned it for a long time and these towel heads (Which are muslims willing to blow themselves up for whatever reason), were persistent in doing so. There is actually nothing they have requested peacfully, or as a matter of fact, the only thing they are asking is for the whole world to become like them, slavery for women, only god Allah, and back to prehistoric times. It seems that Mikkey has favorably forgotten, that yes, US has a long history in this century for fighting under the cause of freedom, lets not forget no human is infallible to errors or mistakes. If US had not been attacked by Japanese, The EU would be drawn as one country named GERMANY, with the exceptions of Spain, and Portugal, and maybe switzerland. Italy, of course would have also maintained independence. So what is different today? Well the agressor is not organized, but can be effective. Still to this time, no one in this post who is against the war over Irak and Afghanistan has even offered an alternative, despite being asked to do so. It is all the same rethoric about the americans being uncivilized and lacking of culture and knowledge. Or should we say that Europe have greatly contributed to mankind in this century? well, I think the greatest achievement tactically speaking is 2 world wars, and a mess over the middle east over centuries of occupation, or should we forget this fact as well? So much for the debate on legalizing pot...the begining was good, complaining about the expenditure of 300B$ in the fight against terror. I guess that Kevin wouldn't mind jumping with a pot head, base to what I read on this thread... Yep, it does not impair you and is totally harmless smoking pot. Better yet, why don't we get him to jump with a load full of people that are high on dope... As to the war on terror, one of the differences is that they do not care who they kill. One nuke from them will be sufficient to kill millions with just one of them, and in one day. The risks are far greater than just the fact of complaining of how people die, and all the causes for it.
