Personally, before even meeting everyone, I would definitely wish hat everyone be safe before anything else, today and always. It takes a toll on hearing the accidents of our brothers and sisters, and take the opportunity to wish all those like Lew, BikerBabe, Eric, Alana, Gretchen, Muenkel, (Casie and her Navel) and those who are hurting in some way or another a quick way back to recovery, and healing (mental and physical). Michele, hopefully you know my friendship is for real. Hey Alana, according to the new BSR's you only need to be B qualified (meaning that the license is not requred) 30 min of freefall time and water training. If you can prepare for the night jumps will be great. As far as for the licenses, it does not really matter, unless you wanted to become a tandem master, coach or AFF instructor, for which you will need Pro ratings and other things (check the SIMs at your DZ and take a look and see for yourself.) Blue skies and don't worry about it too much, take your time and be safe are the key for a long and healthy skydiving life........ Hey Ian, Thanks for the input. In regards to the botched attempt, the meaning was not swooping as usual...on Sunday. You just waited your turn and took it easy.... In regards of you being a safety conscious skydiver, don't i was not including the staff, what I should have made clear to everyone is non-staff skydiver..... All staff in Jumptown, are just excellent, and are there to help us out. Wendy, As everyone else have said already, it was a great post, that for the last few days, particulary after this weekend, have discussed with a friend of mine at the DZ. You just have to see all the people landing at any given zone, I think a good rule of thumb with all the landings is for everyone keeping the knees and feet together. Just watch the landings at any DZ, at any time, by any level of experience, and you see that people tend to separate their legs at landing.... By the way, my first 20 jumps were on rounds, and yes, I do think that it is great to put people through a higher level of training by getting them up on the tool box and practice PLF on all positions, if it is well done, it does not matter if it is even 15 ft up, you can survive, with only minor bruises and aches..... As long as you increase the height little by little chair first and so on....... Blue skies everyone... Hey Ian, Thanks for the welcome, and yes I know I did not have the right to lose alti on the Landing Area even though in that jump I was clear, and had the right of way, it probably confused many on traffic, but the jump that I am referring to on my previous post was a day before, Saturday. Again, I am not pointing fingers at anyone nor will I do this publicly, the matter stayed between this person and me. It is just a point I think is valid for everyone's safety. For I have been seen many instances where the canopy flying lower is passed by someone spiraling down, and the constant pressure of some trying to do absolutely everything in one dive. Personally, I think that you are one of the most safety conscious skydivers around there, and always willing to teach newbies, or point out things you don't think are ok as well as having your ears open when needed, I have learn many valuable lessons more than once, and this has inspired me to also look at other peoples rigs, and equipment on the way up, for we really have to look after each other. On this case is the issue that sometimes anyone wanting to do an HP landing, just spiralling down to get there before when in traffic is just simply not right, it is not your case, for I have seen that you have on many occasions botched your attempt of swooping and land your handkerchief (84?
